Hi to everybody here. I have LOMAC, I would love it, but I have a big problem with it: I can lock only one target (air or ground one) each mission and this occurs either if I use the joystick (I have a Thrustmaster Afterburner Force Feedback HOTAS joystick) or the keyboard. This is very frustrating and I can not enjoy the game at all. Anyone can help me? Please Thanks a lot in advance Aldo

You need to describe the problem a little better ... exactly what are you doing?

I think he means that when attacking ground targets, if using Su-33, MiG-29 or A-10, the little diamond in the HUD only designates one target at a time. He cannot designate multiple targets in the HUD. As far as I'm aware, and I've played the Flanker series for quite some time, multiple designation of ground targets via HUD diamond is not a feature of the game.

thanks for answering. I mean that I select a target (air or ground target) pressing the proper key (on the HOTAS or on the keyboard; on the keyboard it is the "tab" key), then I fire the missile, evenctually I destroy the target, then I try to select another target but the key does not work any more, I am not able to lock on another target. The result is that it seems that I can select only one target each mission..very frustrating. Sorry for my english, but..is it more clear now?

More clear, but still not quite enough info - I'll explain what I mean ...
Suppose you're in air to air mode and you have two targets ... you have them both on BVR radar, so you see some targets on your HUD (on russian planes, say) ... you lock onto one, and you shoot it down.
THen you go back to BVR mode, and you see the second target ... you hit the lock-on key with the square on top of it and .. it doesn't work?
Also, are you using easy radar or realistic?
If this is the case, is the shift key or ctrl key or caps lock or *something* being activated at the same time for some reason?

Yes, this likely the case, but perhaps I am doing wrong. Example. I am using easy radar, OK? I want to engage targets with BVR. I am in navigation mode, so I press the 2 key (or the equivalent in the HOTAS) to go in BVR. Then, before to see any target, but going towards the zone where the control told me there are boogies, (perhaps I am wrong here) I press the lock on key; now I can see the red square, I wait Betty to tell that I am in range, I fire and shoot down the first. Then I go back (should I press again 2?)towards the second, I press the lock on key and...nothing. Now the target is close, I shift to 3 or 4 because I can see him (no more BVR), I press the lock on key and..nothing. This happens with US and russian fighters, or with A10 and ground target. I mean that I would expect that afetr firing the first missiles I can select the more appropriate radar mode and i should lock on again another target. I am sure that other keys (shift, ctrl, etc.) are not active. Thanks again. Please help me to understand how to enjoy the sim.

I too have to confess to having this same problem. When starting a mission, say a quick mission from the main menu that has air-air, I am able to use the radar in any mode and lock on to an enemy aircraft using the proper techniques and pressing tab to lock the aircraft. I can now fire the missile and the plane will explode . But, on a subsequent attempt to lock on to another target I can no longer press tab and lock on again, in any radar mode. This is very strange and depressing. The odd thing however is that the easy radar will continue to lock targets, but I’m not sure even that is working 100%. But switching back to the normal radar still won't let you lock on again. I'm new to lomac, so I suspect this is just a button that we need to press that we haven't found yet or we are doing something really dumb :p . But I have read the manual etc and cannot see anything immediately wrong. Please be gentle, it’s probably a user error as usual

Hi
I'm using realistic radar in the A10.
When I start a flight and go to A/G mode, the diamond is over a target, but I can't seem to lock onto a different target.
Pressing tab unlocks the target, but none of the auto lockon key combinations seem to work for me to select an alternative.
Should I be able to move the diamond or the square on the HUD over another target?
After destroying the target, the diamond automatically locks onto the next target, but not necessarily the one I want!
Regards
Graeme

The manual says pressing the '~'(tilde) key cycles targets. The tilde key on a UK board is on the right and pressing tilde doesn't cycle the targets.
I'm at work so haven't tried the suggestion of the key above the TAB key. Really hope it works!
