I just did a brand new install of the latest version of DCS 1.5 on a new computer. The install went fine and I confirmed all my controllers are operating correctly. In DCS I go into Options and then Controls and I can successfully assign any key, axis, controller buttons etc. in either the Su25T or P51 (I have not installed my modules yet). However when I click the OK button to save these changes, the music stops playing in the background and the window does not close or save. The only thing I can do is hit the Cancel button and when I come back in nothing has been changed or saved. I have rebooted many times and I have even tried to click OK to save without even making any changes. The key bindings will just not save. Any help greatly appreciated.

Very odd - try running DCS as administrator (not that that should make a difference, but it could).

EDIT:- Also check the contents of C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\TF-51D\joystick

Thanks Nate... but I solved the problem and it was a rookie VR mistake (feeling dumb). I did not fully realize that what I was clicking on in VR is not what I am actually clicking on on the Windows monitor. So when I was clicking OK button in VR to close the controls window of DCS to save the key bindings I could not see that in reality the mouse on the monitor was actually clicking on the steamVR window on the desktop. This is my first VR setup and DCS is the first application I installed so I have learned a valuable lesson. I wish DCS would just give you an option to boot to the desktop when you started it up. I guess I will have to start using different shortcuts as another SimHQ member has suggested.
