I've just seen this on the BBC too. Incredibly sad news.

Sadly, I kind of guessed this story was unlikely to have any other outcome.

RIP.

I still haven't seen "The Force Awakens" (sad, I know), gonna have to pick that one up now.

EDIT: Maybe watch "The 'Burbs" tonight.

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again

Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph

Never in a thousand years would I have thought that Force Awakens would have been her final film appearance.

Seems fitting, if there is such a thing.

I was wrong. Thankfully we'll see her one last time.

60 years old. This sucks. I know she had it hard for a while, but things were definitely going back up for her. They said they finished the next movie which she's in, but it's going to be odd watching it.
It's weird seeing one of my first childhood Hollywood crushes die.

Was at the movies earlier tonight watching Rogue One. I had forgotten to turn of my mobile, lying in front of me. News flash of her death showed on the display, just as Leia appeared on screen. Freaked me out.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of nerds voices suddenly cried out.

I kid.. I kid. sigh

Also got the news push message while watching Rogue One. I only saw it in time because after a couple of minutes into the film the theater had to restart their server.

Very sad news. I had hoped - and which the news indicated - that she would be getting better. sigh

RIP.

Today I posted at the thread "George Micheal is dead" which reminded me how terrible this year (2016) as been regarding many celebrities and well renown people around the world dying in this year and now... this...

Well, all I can say is RIP Carrie Fisher and damn you 2016!

RIP.

Never really been bothered by all the other "celebrity deaths" in 2016 but this.... this is different.

This didn't really surprise me, I hope she improves... Carrie Fishers mom Debbie Reynolds has just had a stroke.
