Decided to come back. All those screen shots look too good. I've installed my copy from Steam, but now I'll need that first update that added some planes and fixed some bugs. Can't find it. After that, it's the TF patches. Right now, the sim won't start for me. I'm hoping that TF 4.33 fixes that. Is that first patch that they issued already in the Steam version by any chance? If not, please tell me where to get it.

I'm not sure what you mean by that 'first update'?
All you will need are the TF patches.
EV's are the Devils matchbox.

There was an update where they added that airbatic plane, and also versions of the Spit and Hurri with different versions of variable speed props. Maybe the Steam version already had it. Trouble is, it doesn't start so I can't check.

Pooch, This update you refer, with SU-26 is the penultimate done by MG, is already include in STEAM install. What is need do is install STEAM version, don't try run, 99.9% choice that don't start (specially in Wind10). Add the TF patches - take less than 5 minutes - and done: http://teamfusion.theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/The last time I install, a mount or less, I forget this install guides and just install then sequentially, after the last, game run OK. Just remember clear cache in Documents\1C Soft Clube\Il-2... Dover\Cache, before start. The install has different versions, so the cleanup is need. After run a QM few minutes a new cache with shaders etc, is created.

I've got it running and I don't even know what to say. The feeling of actual flight may be the closest I've ever seen to actual flight. What an amazing job. I'm going to enjoy this. But the cache? I didn't do that. Should I go back and dump it or just leave it alone , now?

Just reinstalled CoD also because of this announcement im not sure though if its best to go ahead and reinstall all of the current Fusion stuff or just wait for the integrated patch. I assume we will have to uninstall and reinstall anyway when the integrated patch comes out?

Stardog, you really need to install this patch. It didn't take all that long to do. It's simply the most realistic WW2 flight sim I've ever flown and I've been doing this since the mid ninties.

the game updates will once again become automatic in the near future
"In the coming weeks and months, Team Fusion’s work will be offered as an official content update and patch for Cliffs of Dover on Steam. This update will merge all the current changes and fixes into one update. The update will initially be optional. Not long thereafter, the update will be codified by Team Fusion and officially entered into the source code and file system for the product itself. The title will then be permanently updated through Steam negating the need for a separate patch.
Later in 2017, the first commercial add-on for Cliffs of Dover will be released. The add-on will be focused on the North Africa theater and will update the engine to DirectX 11 and include new airplanes, a new map and other content and improvements. There is a possibility that other theaters will be developed in the future pending the outcome of this first add-on. More information about the North Africa add-on will be made public in the coming weeks.

But the cache? I didn't do that. Should I go back and dump it or just leave it alone , now? Yes, install and update Clod is easy. But somehow some can make it complicated. You can clean the cache folder at any time - and more than one time, don't need to nothing more.

Pooch oh ya no doubt! I love CoD with Fusion Mod just didnt have it installed at the moment. I just curious how the integration of Fusion into CoD will work. I assume we will just uninstall and reinstall as it wont update a CoD with the stand alone Fusion mod properly but I dont know.
Thanks!

Five Dollars!? It will be the best five bucks you can spend on the hobby, then. It's very good. What they've done is pretty amazing. Not only is the gameplay terrific, and graphics incredible, they've somehow managed to optimize it to run silky smooth. I was flying an interception mission. Over London. The whole city is splayed out beneath me, there is a large formation of HE111's, Spitfires and Hurricanes are all over the place. Machine guns are firing and flak is peppering the sky. I'm playing on an Asus gaming laptop that is going on two years old. There wasn't so much as a burp. Could not have run smoother. I have all graphics options turned to high.
