RAF28Jenks...which fonts do you use for your reports? Actually a combination; You can find them on dafont.com or other font sites. I used dafont.com (most are free.) If you use the searchbar keyword typewriter, you should find them: The typewriter font is a mixture of 3 for variance: Old Typewriter Mom's Typewriter Veteran TypewriterFor the cursive handwritten, I used Jellyka Western Princessthere are other great ones on there, just takes bit of time to pick through find one that works. A new week so on to Mission #3, May 7 1916, Patrol Behind friendly Lines Our group of 5 Eindeckers tangled with a couple of aggressive FE2b's. One latched onto me and would not relent, shooting out my engine. I had to dead-stick land near Longavesne airfield. Force of numbers won out and my flight eventually downed both of the Fee's as I watched from the ground. Another 'good show', not that I had much to do with it. Had a light splatter on the goggles, but told by the medic back at base that I was just 'shook up' and no serious injuries, whew.

Glad to hear you put down safely 77_Scout! Just be sure you don't put down safely on our side of the lines; waiting you will find poorly structured and articulated poetry, stale beer, and sub-standard lodgings. Oh wait,.. thats your side of the lines chap Feel free to have the car bring you over to Baizieux and RFC 4 will make you our guest of honor for the evening. Complimentary drinks and a spirited game of darts await!

Okay, better late than never ;-) John Hornet's first two Missions: Mission #1 was not very eventful. We had to keep an Eye on our own BE's, keeping an Eye on the enemies' Troop Movements. The Way back was a bit scary, because one BE malfunctioned and performed a spectacular Crash-Landing. The Plane was Confetti, Pilot badly wounded, Gunner lightly. Mission #2 was a perfect Example for what not to do in a Plane: Right after Take-off we saw 2 E3s, darting into us from high above. I thought that would be a great Opportunity to shoot some spectacular Pictures... and then the obvious happened: While shooting Overhead-Pics my Plane stalled, tumbled, I caught it, made more Pictures, stalled again, tumbled again, caught the Plane while hitting the Floor hard with my Wheels, power-slided on a narrow Road between a Tree-Row and a Fence on one Wheel... and ultimately stopped in front of a Tree. The Fokker Pilots must have thought that I wanted to impress them with a cool, new Stunt-Trick or so. Anyways, in spite of that pretty scary Moment I just sustainded some light Injuries from the hard Landing - 9 Days Hospital.

Rudolf Becker
My whole flight died.
I cannot count all the mistakes I made.
Hope you all survive. It was short and sweet for me again. Bad luck MFair. If I am reading HarryH's rules correctly you can carry on with a second and even third pilot, with reduced rewards, lower rank, etc. Team Germany needs your points!

I had your last mission in mind when I skimming over the ground trying to land. Obviously I was not so lucky or as skilled!
I will take a look at that next Sunday on my return. If I can I will keep flying. Thanks for the heads up! MFair, that's terrible news! Far too early to exit, but 77_Scout is absolutely correct. You have "three lives". Your second pilot can enter next week (May 13 mission to start). He will be a raw recruit posted to KEK Bertincourt, probably downgraded to an EIII. Set your new pilot as a rookie flieger and jump back in next week. After all you have done for the WOFF boys we can't lose you so soon! H

Edward Cavendish, May 4th 1916 Lead B flight (2 x Bristol Scout) to cover two recon plane in A flight. Observe the front and report. All went smooth, little nervous when I spot a plane maneuvering over the two recon. Approaching it I could see from distance it was some allied pusher (trailed tail). All planes landed safe. Artillery activity on sector quite high.

Bah, I am dead. Mission #4, May 10 1916, Patrol Friendly Front Lines Had a long uneventful patrol, was heading for home, saw a speck to our rear, turned to check it out with my two wingmen in tow. Turned out to be a solitary silver Nieuport (N.11 I would suppose). He easily turned inside of me, latched onto my tail, and riddled me with bullets before my wingmen could even get into the fight.

Sorry 77_Scout. This is a tough challenge on the German side especially.
All, I've got real life dramas to contend with on my trip to the UK. My father suffered a stroke yesterday so I've delayed my return home and will be pretty busy with things here for a bit. Will catch up on missions, scoring, etc. when I get back. Do have fun and keep it going!
Best,
H And 77_Scout, don't forget to re-enter next week with a junior pilot, if you want to. H
