Yeah, I got my update to 50, and it doesn't trust the search sites.
Says it has security flaws and lacks a certificate.

I get this page instead;

Your connection is not secure

The owner of [insert site name].com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

Learn more…

'search site'.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

I get that with 'all' the search sites, and Wikipedia, even some of Mozilla's own sites, when I tried to question the problem!
I wonder if it's a problem with my box, or firefox?

I can bypass the page and go to the site anyway....just weird.
Hope I don't have some malware on my laptop.

Anyone else up to version 50.0.2, and having this page show up when going to a search site?

I'm running 50.0.2 without any trouble. Do you have the same trouble with a different browser by any chance? Have you checked the time and date setting of your computer? If the date is off it will screw up certificates.

Same here, you need to open up the upper right triple slash and open up options and then look
for search. You can decide from there what search engines to use. I only use google.

Date and time are correct.

I checked that Jim, and I have several search engines checked, and they still give me the page;

SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

And;

Your connection is not secure

The owner of [insert site name].com has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

'search site'.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates. An additional root certificate may need to be imported. Error code: SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER

Can't figure it out.
I haven't tried the IExplorer or my gaming box with Firefox.
But I'm sure it's only this lap top.

No other sites either....just the search engines.
Thanks for the responses.
Weird.

Found the problem.
I think it was my anti-virus program, which I just reinstalled for another year.
I had to 'tweek' the options.

Then I also reinstalled my firefox.

So...unfortunately, I'll never know which one caused the problem.

But it's fixed.

My main point is, it's not a universal problem with Firefox, it's me.

Great browser IMHO. Don't want to give them a bad rap.

I have had Avast do this to me to. Had to go into its settings and remove so
many browser security settings to get it back. Need to check them out after
update themselves.
