That's exactly what she is. Most important was the wiring for RBS-15, the turbojet version of RB-04E, and RB-74 which is the AIM-9L with much improved abilities over our usual AIM-9J's (RB-24J in sveedish).

Also we got the BK-90, a glide cluster bomb, with the AJS but with the normal usage of the Viggen flying at 6000 miles per hour ( minimum biggrin ) at 100ft the range is merely some 5km but still ok for us as it opened for a few new tactics.

Thing is, as a mission designer you can cut short on weapons and you will be able to simulate AJ-37 missions against older sets of planes such as MiG-21/23/25 rather than MiG-29A and Su-27 early versions.

In other news, AJ means Attack-Fighter and the S is Recce meaning the AJS merges the abilities of AJ, SF and SH versions into one airframe.

Besides that there's a much newer JA (Fighter-Attack) in the family which is a totally different plane only sharing the same fat-slick looks of the original AJ series (JA used the British SkyFlash radar missile and is limited to 135mm rocketpods in A-G role - almost a litte F-15C style "not a pound for air-to-ground").

Edit:
Regarding fast and low usage of the Viggen feel free to read page 5 http://www.collectair.co.uk/pdf/interview-hr.pdf

TBH, the one thing most flight sims have failed to properly replicate is the sensation of speed at low level.

At altitude it's fine, but I always feel like I'm driving on the interstate watching the trees pass instead of doing Mach .9 @ 200 ft.

You have to set the eyepoint too far aft to truly get that sensation. Which is unreailstic.

@speed sensing
I was thinking about same thing before but it might be you that is too used to the aircraft speed.
I flew fc3 F15 after 10 months of non flightsim life, I felt it quite fast even when on
landing.

Other thing I can think of is fov, monitor, brain focus, eye focus...etc

VR might help lackness of speed sensing.(much wider view with almost 1:1 size of objects)

When VR evolves to a point where it can deliver peripheral vision too, then we're gonna feel the speed smile Unfortunately Monitors don't offer the FoV needed.

Will it be able to reverse?

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

Even with current VR headsets you get a much better sensation of speed, at least that is my perception with the Rift. Not perfect, but a lot better than what you get with a regular monitor. It would be better with a greater FOV though, no doubt about it.

I use a 46" 1080p TV less than 3 feet away. This makes the pixels fairly large, but gives a decent FOV.
When I did measurements, it works out to about 70 degrees. I get a decent sense of speed and if I open the in-game FOV past 70 degrees, it looks really fast, just a little distorted.

What is strange is how it looks different between different sims despite using the same in-game FOV. All the ground detail in DCS when flying low enough seems to make a big difference.

My brother has an HTC Vive and a laptop that runs it beautifully. He has DCS World running very well on it. As good as it looks, the resolution and field of view aren't enough to satisfy me. For now, I think I will go for a 60+ inch 4K or better TV the next time I build a new PC or upgrade this one enough to handle that resolution with maxed out graphics settings.

I wonder if they will get the activation system sorted out for this aircraft ?

Unlike the MIG21 activation system that is totally screwed

Nevermind the activations, LN seem to struggle with all aspects of coding, we're on around the 15th iteration of the 21 flight model and it's still crap, the gun pods have been bugged to unuseability for 3 months now and the ASP simply doesn't work true to life even still. As much as i'd like to buy the viggen, it's become pretty clear that LN don't have the coding skills to pull it off. The textures are great though, nice face shame about the personality sums it up.

I'm confused.... the activation system is handled by 3rd party and not by ED??

+1 on the MiG-21. I'm gonna hold off ANY purchase of modules from LN, that includes the F-14.
They had a great start with the Mig-21, then it went downhill. I am only wondering if the MiG-21 is a special mess because they picked up the project from Bezcl, or if they had initial success because of it.

27 feels sooo far away.
Was hyped during the annoucement week but in all honesty, that lack of videos and else "promised" along with this date has put me pretty off.
Probably me doing the wrong as always.
Maybe I need to brush up my engrish understanding.

It is starforce, but clearly the software company has some input on how validity is checked
No other modules apart from the MIG-21 don't play well with vmwares virtual network adapters
