TBH i was hoping for a Pacific career but.....This could be the pinnacle of WW2 flight sims. And i for one im really really looking forward to what you guys can produce

Very best of luck to OBD and thanks once again for your outstanding sims (been with you since P2)

Il be flying WOFF UE very soon (having it has a Christmas present) ..in the mean time im going to donate to you guys. You thoroughly deserve every success that hopefully comes your way.

Great post above Hellshade you,ve said everything i thought of but better in your writing.

Once again Thank you to Mfair for his sponsorship..Awesome mate.

But Mostly Thanks To WM and POL and others from the OBD team for your continued work on WOFF and the upcoming WOTR.

Happy Thanksgiving to our American friends..All the best

WOFF UE is a very polished product that already contains countless hours of enjoyment. (Anyone here mastered all 78 aircraft yet or finished the war once yet from start to end with one country, let alone all of them?) Add-ons keep development going with additional planes, content and features while OBD gets to continue working on new technologies in the more profitable WWII genre, which can then later be ported back to WOFF UE. Short of a sudden, massive resurgence in WWI air combat sims, that is best Roadmap forward one could hope for.

Thanks to OBD for not giving up, to Mr. Fairchild for making this possible, to everyone who has and continues to donate to add extra wind in the sales (see what I did there?) and to all the modders who find creative new ways to expand our playing options and experiences. Best community ever and now with a brighter future than ever.

Erm not to the plans above obviously, that's all for another decade, time etc.

Guys please no wish lists in this thread. Happens every time we mention something we are doing.

Beawere OBD. Leaving attention will kills the game, like we all did see on Rof.

I hope for OBD this would project be a big seller and making lots of profit.

For the rest I do have Bos & Clod on Steam but not installed, I always try, when there is an intresting game release, but I'm a real WW1 conbatflysim fan.

I also have those titles dutch..along with Battle of britain 2,B17 from Hasbro(Microprose) and IL1946.

The only WW2 sim that i go back to at times is a heavily modded IL1946.

OBD,S attention to detail and unbelievable support is why i am seriously looking forward to this project.

It just could be THE best ww2 flight sim of all time. I have my WW1 favourite (WOFF) and my modern day jet favourite (Falcon BMS). Im absolutely certain that WOTR will be my WW2 Sim of choice.

We're all WW1 fans or else we would not be here - as is OBD in their heart of hearts if I may say.
That being said it certainly does not mean I don't like a good WW2 aviation sim either.
You can have multiple passions but love only one the best.
And for OBD the economic aspects are undeniable. WW2 sells.

Besides...the air war over Germany!
P-51's and 47's escorting the Big Boys in the sky.
And of course the 2nd BoB...plenty of drama there.
All with the OBD touch and attention to detail we have come to expect?

I can't fault OBD for concentrating on the European Theatre, but I've yearned for a long time for a Nomenhan Campaign where the Soviets clashed with the Japanese. I've always wanted a furball between Nakijima Ki-97's and Boeing P-26's.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

Sounds great. The dynamic campaign is the gem of WOFF and I will love to see a WW2 sim of similar quality. Not sure how you guys will find the time, but glad that you do!!

What great news! The European air war with WOFF's single player greatness, can't wait to see what's in store.

Resisting the urge to barrage you guys with a million questions, but one thing I'm dying to know - have you made any improvements to CFS3's woeful AI radio communications?

There really was hardly anything there, and with radios comes so much more possible immersion that this is the only thing I'm 'worried about' in terms of what can be pulled off with CFS3. Well, that and the numbers of AI needed in the air for some of the bigger raids, but frankly even if you couldn't pull that off and only focused on the tactical fighter-bomber side of things that would be fine with me.

Thanks for any info, and good luck!

Outstanding

Your devotion, passion and attention to detail - applied to a WW2 setting?
Not to mention the breathtaking career mode

A WW2 flight sim with the kind of immersive single player career mode as in WOFF is sorely missing from the market right now.

I can't wait for the first, screenshots...
I'm a bit sceptic about the use of the old CFS3 engine, though...

What a great treat this will be. Of course it will be done to the level of OBD's design and craftsmanship. Something sweet to look forward to, and we know this will be longer than 'two weeks'. No matter what the timeframe it will be done right! WOFF/WOTR devs rock. Again thanks to MFair if his support helped this out. I'm intrigued by Winders statement, "As a spin off we hope then to revisit WOFFUE and incorporate the new features of WOTR as an expansion/upgrade to WOFFUE". Whatever that may include sounds interesting. Anyway hope this help OBD stay in operation for a long time! S

Yeah! I hope some of the great developers in CFS3 will be interested in helping as much as they can. There are still a few left; I'm sure Mark knows who they are!
