If only there was a story with this game. It all feels like practice.

Yes, it's like SWAT 4 (not the expansion), just a series of unconnected maps and operators.

It's like an old procedural where you can watch any episode in any order and it doesn't matter because they hit the reset button at the end of each one.

I personally don't want stories with this game or the SWAT series... it's all about the tactics and teamwork... I would love a SWAT 5 game where you got 100 houses, buildings, etc etc... and a SWAT team that arrives, does the planning, then executes then goes home... that's how real SWAT is, theirs no story. just the job.

To be fair, while SWAT was that way, R6 is based on a book that is all story.

My bigger beef is that the game isn't setup for single play. Whether there is some thread connecting it or not, I want to be able to play it alone but NOT by myself. Previous R6 games gave you a team of AI. Sure, they could be a pain and get in the way, but once you learned their limits you could plan and place them where they would be the most help.

Now there is no planning, no intel beyond what you collect with drones yourself, and no friendly AI.

It was ok for SWAT since that's how the game started. This game did start with a book, or the book was created to go with the game, and the games had a Clancy-esque story with them. The REASON for moving place to place, country to country. Not that I want a repeat of Vegas, I don't need that kind of drama. I agree it needs a SP campaign mode. Preferably going back to picking team members etc. I don't need the full planning stage though, that was like an entirely different game (that I wouldn't mind on the side). After waiting so long for it to come out, I felt shorted. There's no good reason it couldn't have had it all considering the time they wasted.

Oh, the story in R6V was really poor. Still, it was better than the story in R6V 2.

To this day I STILL laugh at the "villain"s little speech at the end, where he confesses his reason for becoming evil and causing so much chaos and death was you cared about him too much?? Really?
