This is always a good show, and I was bummed that they didn't have last year, so I was happy to see it back in action again this year.

The lighting was changing a lot, and I just don't think my skills were up to the task, but there was a lot to see, so I tried to document it as much as I could. As usual, I left before the Thunderbirds went up, as I wanted to beat some traffic and it was getting a little dark.

Hi Ken,
I really like your shots of the C-17, King Cobra, T-33 and Phantom.

I hope you don't mind but I've made some quick edits of them in Lightroom to bring out a few more details in the shadows etc. [Try as I might I don't always manage to get the correct camera settings 'on-the-day' at the air shows I visit, so I usually end up doing a bit of post-shoot processing to get the best out of my days work. Just wish it didn't take so much time .. hahaha]

I hope you like them smile

Hi Eric,

Nicely done, they look great! I am generally pretty lazy and try to do the minimal post-editing, and never really learned much about it. These have only very slight changes from me, and I think only one was even cropped. I've lost a little of my zest for air show photography, and mostly thought people might enjoy seeing the unique aircraft.

Here's a challenge for you: smile

And a few more:

This one is heavily cropped, but I thought looked cool:

What a great set of awesome aircraft! You lucky man... biggrin

I like a challenge smile Here's my edit of that very nice F-15 shot of yours. I can't push things too far because I'm working from jpegs - if you use RAW files you can achieve a lot more with far fewer artifacts / noise.

What do you think?

Very nice! There's definitely a lot more detail, and any work I have tried in the past would result in a lot of noise. The color of the aircraft is a little too light, as it's an F-15E in a very dark gray color, which I'm sure is why it was so dark to begin with. The fact that you did what you did even though it is normally very dark is really impressive! Thanks!

Really nice shots Ken.
The Heritage flights shots are the ones I like the most though because of the aircraft in them. thumbsup

Wow Ken, these are great shots, my nephew and another local buddy went and they got some sweet pics as well. Very envious of you guys catching the last flight of the Phantom...
