Actually two of us (Pol and I) rely on OBD products to put food on the table - and believe me the table is bare...
WM WM ..thanks for the brilliant product that you Pol and others supply to us..also for listening to the community and supplying us with updates, patches on so on. I for one can't even imagine the amount of work that goes into what you do it must be a tremendous workload at times. And tbh you've probably quoted above what other people have to consider..Ie putting food on the table. WOFF UE is only worth what somebody personally is willing to pay. IMO somebody especially a newcomer should not be flamed for asking or discussing the cost. I personally was going to purchase weeks ago..unfortunately circumstances have made me postpone for a bit..that said Again I want to personally thank all at OBD for their continued work..WOFF is the finest sim I've ever had the pleasure of flying.

I would buy it, but can't without paysafecard Really lame because I know you have other ways of paying Jimmy. but you know that's in the hands of Avangate not us. And they accept many methods of payment (that you would normally use) but yes not paybollockscards... WM

that's a nice gesture from stache but il pass on it. ive received a 15% discount offer which has been enough to make me pull the trigger and buy the thing. I don't regard myself as a new member either. ive been on the SimHQ forums for many years and have been hanging around these forums since BH&H whenever that was released, I just don't post very often. If I had been a new member then stache's response would've certainly scared me off. word of advice, if your gonna post something that may offend someone, take a bit more time before hitting the post button. otherwise theres a good chance your gonna come across as a complete asshat! ive been guilty of it myself in life so im talking from experience here! have a top weekend folks!

I did a little math and here's what WOFF UE should cost: - Improved frame rate = worth an arm and a leg, but because I need them both to fly WOFF, let's say $20. Runs faster and looks better - no compromises from OBD. - 2 new French 2-seaters = I would give my left nut for them, but because I need it to fly WOFF, the equivalent of $20 per plane. Standard for what we've paid previously for add-ons like that. Don't forget, it's not just the planes themselves, but the skins and new squadrons (now 454 in total). AND new airfields for them to land on. $20 bucks is practically a steal. - Improved and unique airfields (11 of them) = say $2 per airfield, because I'm cheap. - We can now land at night thanks to new airfield "lighting system" - burning oil drums = $5. - Improved scenery and objects, new winter trees and terrain = $10, again because I'm cheap. - Improved damage model = $5. - New sounds. You should hear the new guns! = $5. - New front end with new and interesting images = $0.99, because you don't need them to fly WOFF. - Better shadows = $2. - Support for ultra wide screen = Let's call it free, because OBD devs are nice guys. - 2 new levels of regional activity: very heavy and ultra heavy for the people who want it all = $3. - Finally your wingmen don't go missing or die mid-air when you exit mission early before they land = $1. - Excellent support with fixes coming faster than I am able to download and install them = priceless. - Many more new features that I'm too lazy to list = $5. - Everything (all add-ons) in one package = according to some worth $0, because they've already purchased everything. Really? It's worth at least $1.
So, what's the total? $119.99 Now, everyone who paid full price for WOFF UE ($64.99) you still owe OBD $55. Pony up!

Very nicely done Fullofit! The performance jump alone is worth the price of UE, for me, and then there's all these extras! I recently saw on another thread about disabling vertical sync and putting an Nvida card into fast mode, which I have just done. I was blown away with UE before, but now it's even more incredible! I've upped all the graphics settings to max, I'm running heavy air activity, my TrackIR is in performance mode and running as smooth as silk and I'm getting between 70 and 120fps with virtually no stutters. It's total immersion! Anyone who hasn't upgraded yet needs to find a way to manage it. You'll be so busy flying that you won't have time to eat for the first couple of weeks, so just use the grocery money!! H

Hi, Carrick.
My recommendation is to go ahead and buy UE now, even if you don't have a spiffy new computer. I bought UE, even though I only have a video card with 1 MB ram and an Intel i5-2500k overclocked to 3.8 GHz. Despite my limited video card, UE still runs at 40-60 FPS. I do occasionally have a few stutters, but no game-stoppers. And UE truly does look beautiful! Ankor's shaders have really done a wonder for the performance of the game. It is well worth the cost, IMHO. Of course, your mileage may vary, but I don't see any point in delaying your purchase.
In fact, I think WOFF UE runs better on my system than WOFF 2.0. Really happy I made the upgrade now, rather than waiting to upgrade my video card.

WOFF UE is repackaged WOFF 3 with all but the skin pack (which is now free) and a whole lot more added like new AnKor shaders, new airfields, new planes, etc. that is not in WOFF 3 with all it's addons. whereabout's can I find the skin pack? I thought it might be under user mods on the home page buy the link appears to be down.

Hey Buckeye, My computer stutters and has occasional Jaggies not to mention on occasion the frame rate drop to the 20's. Sometimes on 4x or 8x settings it drops to 8 or 4 frames. My processor is a X4 965 AMD Phenom II. If I pick up UE now then I will have to Burn it so I can use it on the Newer machine along with WOFF 3 and Skins. Too much work. Better wait and in the mean time Burn WOFF 3 ,Skins, and Fraps. I don't think it is your processor as I have the exact same one (Phenom II x4 965) - I do use AMD Overdrive and give it a slight overclock to 3.7 Ghz (the stock is 3.4 Ghz) and it runs very solid average in the mid to high 30's (this is with most on 5 graphics but terrain related to 3). But even without the overclock and running at stock speed it was "okay" averaging in the lower 30's but with no stutters and no jaggies...maybe it is your video card? (I use a Radeon RX470 card), or memory issue, or even hard drive? (P.S - this is with UE...the framerate actually improves over the older WOFF 3 )

Fullofit, "give up your left nut" ???? Is it not working???? Long time no see my friend. Loved your comments! I would add that POL and his worker bees are "johnny on the spot" with help of all kinds. NO OTHER WEBSITE is even close to this crew. Civ 5 has not been helpfull in the last few years, and now offer up a "Bad Apple" in Civ 6 that is full of issues. Not buying that turkey until it is fixed.
