Use Robert Wiggins' batch software to back up your pilots first and then restore them after the update. I have done this many times and never lost a pilot. Go look under user mods on the OBD site.

because we are nice like that - and this should help. You guys are awesome and it most certainly helped! I had no qualms about paying for all the product I already had purchased back in May (bagged the full Monty) knowing whatever you guys had been working on would be well worth the additional outlay. I am yet to be disappointed in any existing part of your product or operation... Top notch. First class. A Number 1. Ship shape and Bristol fashion. Say what you will... Easily one of the top 2 or 3 gaming product purchases I have made in my long computer gaming life dating back to the mid 80's and the Commodore 64. Thank you! Now that the hyperbole has been properly and appropriately dispensed... My one wish would be for a much more fluid and flexible external viewing system / flight recorder a la IL2 or RoF. From where I sit, this is the only significant weakness of WoFF. However, I fully realize the scope and complexities of such a project and have no expectations of it becoming reality. Thank you again! Rick West

Big box sims from Microprose As I sit here typing, I am no more than 4 feet from literally dozens of "Big Box" Sims and assorted other games. At least 20 of them are Microprose or SSI and another half dozen are Dynamix. There is also a very rare WWI flight sim called 'Dawn Patrol' by Empire still in its original box. Rick

Dawn Patrol. Now that takes me back!

Buff1, many thanks. Do you use TrackIR? More views may be possible, who knows what we can do with more support.
I do use TrackIR. No serious flight simmer should be without it..! I am just so spoiled by the flexibility and fluidity of the IL2 external view capabilities. And when you consider those capabilities have been extant since the original IL2 offering in 2001, its hard to go back to a very rigid external view structure and no in-game flight recorder. I enjoy watching my flights and fights from all perspectives almost as much as I enjoy flying the original. But again, thank you for a phenomenal product! Rick
