I thought I had them all in my collection, at least all the popular ones.

I seldom listen to FM radio (already killed XM, I play CDs or plug in my Shuffle), but Baton Rouge has a new 80's FM radio station so I listen sometimes, especially to Casey Kasem's Top 40. The one I missed is from 1985, the year I finished high school. I don't know how I missed this one, it's unsettling that one got past me...

Already have "Shout" and "Everybody Wants To Rule The World."

Good song, IMO (video is typical 80's rubbish).

Also going to request that the Ringwalds add this one to their potential setlist.

++++++++++

I'm not meaning to start another 80's Music thread, there's already HUGE ones in the archives. This was more about thinking my collection was complete and then being shocked that I missed such a big one!

I've always liked that video because the chimpanzee is wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey. I've been a Red Sox fan since 1979.

80's??? And how about 2014 and beyond, then!
For your own consideration. Enjoy.

Wow Andromedius, that sounded REALLY good! Thanks. thumbsup

I did miss the "Funny how time flies" at the end of the first one though.

Man, they still sound good!

Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph

Awesome, isn't it?

Going back to "Head Over Heels - 2014" posted by Andromedius...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-GAY7UGSGU

All the 40-something chicks singing along (I especially like the one at the 3 min. mark). I see this all the time at Molly Ringwald concerts, women's faces glowing. Dudes are mostly going to chill out behind them, maybe pump their fist to AC/DC, GnR, Rush covers, "WOOOOO! HELL YEAH!" Their dates however are going to be smiling and singing along to New Wave and Pop (Eurythmics, Madonna). Covers from Motley Crue, Journey, David Bowie being mainly neutral. Good time for all.

Point is, if your wife/girlfriend/date is into music, or if she was in the 80's, experiencing it live in a standing-only small-venue dark-lit concert setting makes for the ultimate date night! You end up practically slow dancing to allot of it and women love that stuff!

So forget the movies, find local bands that play whatever it is that you're both into.

Plugging the Ringwalds again from our local paper...

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.
