Hey guys, I'm looking to build a retro PC for nostalgia's sake. If anyone has any old Voodoo 1, 2, 3, 5 cards or NVIDIA TNT 1, 2, Geforce 256 DDR cards, or Matrox G400 cards, please let me know!

Also if you have working motherboard/cpu's, and even entire towers, I'd be interested!

I don't have a lot of money to spend on this, but name your price.

my email is aviador at gmail dot com

I have 4 or 5 older Nvidia cards probably a couple TNTs to
I don't believe they have any labeling that shows which models they are.
if your interested in making an offer I will dig them out of the attic and look for serial numbers and such

Ive got a ton of junk like that. It'd be impossible to get it to you though. Also have a gameport set of thrustmaster HOTAS+pedals.

I've got an Abit BP6 board with dual Celeron 533s, some RAM, a STB Voodoo2 12 MB, and other old PC parts that could be used to make a complete system - if you have a case to put it all in, anyway.

Whether you're willing to pay the shipping to send all of that from the US to Puerto Rico is another matter.

Also note that eBay prices for 3dfx cards have become exorbitant as of late. I'm sure the VOGONS forumgoers would know some better sources for that stuff, at least.

Sorry for the late reply, I have been working abroad all month. Thanks for the offers. I actually live in New York now so shipping will not be an issue.

Nameless, I will gladly take you on that offer. I had a BP6 myself in the old days and it was a fantastic board. Will be great to relieve those times.

Master, if you can figure out whats on that part bin I would gladly scrounge some of it smile

I'll send some private messages as soon as I get to my hotel room.

Lamina,

I have a couple of older systems that are AMD and Intel based from the late 90's and early 2000's that I need to get rid of. I would be willing to get them out to you if you pay shipping for the entire boxes of stuff. I know one is in an older Chieftec server case and I honestly haven't tried to boot it up in several years. I don't know if it even works or honestly whats on the HDD. I will try to boot it up and wipe the drive...otherwise I will pull the drive and you can have the rest along with everything else I have.

I believe I have a couple of AGP based Voodoo cards that are in those systems and boxes along with an old Diamond Monster MX200 sound card.

Reschke, thanks for the offer. Right now my space is limited as I am living in a small place in Brooklyn so I can't take a huge box'o parts. Let me recover from this spinal fusion surgery I just went through and I'll think of something smile Maybe I can pay to have the things shipped to relative's address and then I can get started on the project later.

I threw away a number of Voodoo 5500 cards a few years back, both PCI and AGP versions. It was my go-to card on Win98SE. But 3dfx selling out to nVidia led to no driver support, which forced me to go to a Radeon 8500. In later years, an Italian group got the source code for the drivers and made the 5500 run well in XP and if I recall, I even had it running okay in Win 7? GeForce 2 and GeForce 3 cards were faster, but the Voodoo 5500 looked fantastic at 1024x768 with FSAAx4 and better than most others with only FSAAx2. I highly recommend the PCI version of the 5500 for any retro machine as long as it doesn't cause driver issues with your games of interest smile

You just... threw them away? If only you thought to hold on to them! Those things are money nowadays due to general 3dfx nostalgia. Don't believe me? Check the eBay completed listings!

With that said, I wouldn't mind having a PCI V5 5500, but they're even more uncommon and expensive than the AGP variant, especially the Mac version with a DVI output that I'm seeking for OS 9 gaming purposes.

I have a 3dfx PCI Voodoo 5 5500 as well as two 12mb Voodoo 2 add-on cards.

The market on eBay now is just meh in my opinion...

Sure, let me dig them up and make sure they still function. I had stored them in anti-static bags, so the chances are good. smile What would you be willing to offer? If they all work, would you like all 3 cards?

Potentially all three, once you test it can you email me to aviador at gmail dot com? I forget to check this forum.
