I am sorry to read that the Strike Fighters series might be considered a PC Museum piece. So long as there are faithful members of the community, the Thirdwire series remains very much alive. At SimHQ, I only have to reference the followers of European Air War, which pre-dates the SF family, and remains vibrant with an international community. I also reference EECH and EEAH which still has many after market contributors in spite of its executable date of 2000
TK is not the 'phoenix' who must keep Strike Fighter vibrant, it is the user community who have the creativity and access to the tools to create new air campaigns and theaters of operation. Beyond the addons offered by Thirdwire, there are many others such as Desert Storm, Korean Air War mods, Falkland Islands or Cuba. The vibrancy of Strike Fighters on the 'What If' imagination of its community.
To this end, I ask for assistance in locating a few of those user-created MODs which I have installed, but computer repair and updates have ruined the executables and need refreshment. They are:
A) Modern War for Taiwan or War for Taiwan
B) 'Tainted Cigar'
C) Israel Expansion
D) Vietnam Mod
E) North Atlantic Expansion or North Cape.
I do hope that the site/sites for these MODs can be easily found. I looked at the Strike Fighters Archive and Mission4Today to no success. Help in locating these would be appreciated. I do hope that others will follow as Strike Fighters remains much alive.
