I took the plunge, and got it. Figured $30 is pretty cheap, and I try to support ANY flight-sims that pop-up (HA! flight-sim pun).

Definitely in the Strike Fighters vein...which is a good thing to me. Easy to set up (remember to SAVE your controls!) I was able to take off, shoot down a few F-4s within my first 20 minutes. AI is my main concern. They didn't do anything except fly straight. I killed one each with an AIM-9, a -120, and a guns kill. Avionics are easier than SF. Just select next target...no slewing of Radar or anything.

Flight Controls seem a bit "loose", but it behaves like an airplane. smile Able to do a Hover Take-Off after reducing fuel and no weapons.

Good sense of speed at low-level.

Campaign looks promising, but I don't think it's working yet...never got a tasking.

Overall I say this has promise...as long as you're not looking for a DCS level Harrier. Should shape up to be a fun sim-lite (although I hate that term).

Good Developer feedback, too.

Will report back after I spend some more time with it.

Downloading now. Agree with supporting these guys smile

A bit surprised that it's less than 400 MB....That's mobile app territory.

And it's fine with me if they go the SF2 route, but the longevity of the platform depends on opening up to the community for mods. The pros of more basic aircraft mean we can get a much broader range of mods that don't require DCS levels of development overhead.

It's of course early days, but I hope third party support is on the road map at least.

Yeah,it can't be easy to do this in the current flight sim market. To be honest if this had been any other aircraft other than the Harrier I probably wouldn't have bought it.With no signs of Jet Thunder ever getting a release this is my only hope, assuming that mods will be allowed, that someone can re-create Falklands 1982.

This game also brought me out of flight sim 'hibernation'.I've since re-installed BoS,RoF and DCS. You can never truly leave this genre,it will always draw you back in smile

I just bought it the other day and it is very much in the early stages and has much to improve upon but I can clearly see this is headed to be more sim than the SF series but less than DCS. You can see this is designed for click-able cockpit even but they don't work yet. Hope they give us joystick axis sensitivity sliders because my X axis is way too sensitive currently. Anyway, like what I see and think this will turn out to be good.

Been looking at this on Steam. In terms of weapons, what are available and what actually works? I gather A2A is pretty dull at the moment but how is 'mud moving'?

Well, I haven't used any weapons because the X axis sensitivity issue makes this plane pretty much un-flyable for me. All I have done is try a few takeoffs from the carrier and a bit of flying. Just downloaded a new update for it five minutes ago so will see how it is now and report back.
