Watched. That was a great documentary! Different to any other Ive seen. Fantastic. What made it for me was when he said "out there, on the battlefield, I never felt alone" Brilliant. Thanks for the link.

That's far from being unusual I believe:In fact,after Saint-Cyr they choose for the different arms of the army: inf, armour, engineers, arty,gendarmerie, etc. Then at the end of their specific formation, they choose the units. So Capt "frank" first was selected in the Infantry, then in the 2eme REP.
