I have never been able to activate mine either. I have heard that this might be controlled by the mission designer, but I have no idea.

I think it is activated in the TrueMods mod that people have been running?

I run no mods and activate it using Ctrl-M.
Check your key bindings. You may have to restore them to default and set them up again if you;ve conflicted it with something else.

Right Control+M is default at least that brings mine up.

I bring my map up with the M key, but I tried Left Ctrl+M and right Ctrl+M but no minimap And in the controlsetup I cannot find the setting MiniMap for giving it a key binding! HELP! Anybody knows? And are you sure everybody can get a minimap displayed or do you need a minimod or ini-fix for it? Best regards, Kodiak.

I think it's a mythical map. Anyway all it would be of use for me would be having a quicker compass access than hitting K. I could probably map an extra mouse button to the compass with little trouble.

Yea same here, I use all default key binds as well. Never have I seen that GPS map in those screenshots.
BUT... they are all in aircraft in the screenshots, and I've never tried to load the GPS map in a aircraft.

From the Shack Tac link
"Because it must be added via the mission config, this will not always be present in a mission"
Rgt Ctrl + M - mini GPS map.
"Note that the GPS can be toggled either as a large, press-and-hold a key version, or a smaller, toggle-on/toggle-off version. Both can be extremely useful in aircraft and should not be overlooked. I recommend binding it so that pressing one key causes the large version to come up, while using Ctrl + that same key will make the small, toggle version show up."
SO if M is your map key Ctrl-M is small toggle version- not sure why mine only works with the right Ctrl , but thats how it is.
If you have changed your default map, then it would be hold ctrl + that button. to toggle.
Hope it works.
