So today's the day. However this update is going to be a little different. I am not actually going to talk at-all in-depth about the new theatre, no details, no waffling, just a link to this video which shows the new map in it's very, very early stages of texturing and populating. In terms of the map itself, we now have the physical map approx 90% complete. By that I mean we need to add updated textures, towns, roads, features, lots to do actually but the base of the map is complete and here it is:
Feel free to discuss what you have seen in this thread, share it far and wide, spread the word but at-last you are able to see the theatre we have been working on for far too long in secret. Now that it's out in the open, it will be possible to show you new features, models, textures, buildings in future updates that have stayed under wraps until the Team decided it was time to reveal the news.
Airplanes are now built to carry a pilot and a dog in the cockpit: the pilot's job is to feed the dog, and the dog's job is to bite the pilot if he touches anything...

AI is still not working very well in current state, but I'm sure it's on the list of things to be addressed by Team Fusion. I don't know if we'll see AI addressed in the upcoming patch (sometime near the end of this year by latest estimates) but anything's possible. These folks are working for free and without access to the source code, so it may depend on such things as how hard it is to correct, and whether it's a personal priority for the team members. You might try going over to the ATAG forums and asking there.

The AI thing is why I've stopped playing CoD, single player is still a big issue for me, even with the enlightened florist campaign. Sim looks great close up, but spotting enemy is still a big issue and not being able to get an accurate vector is also a game killer.
A new map and aircraft are nice, but I'd love to see more effort into trying to fix single player.

That and working Radio-Commands...
Back for simming after 6 years...

It is very high on the list of fixes as we are keen to enhance Single Player too.
Radio Commands as far as we can tell (at the moment) work fine....except the actual command linking the tab menu to the code controlling the Radio Command....and then the Ai is missing...which is a PIA!
Anyway we are looking at the broken Radio Commands and Ai....but all I can say at the momrnt, that without the Source Code, there is a lot of difficult work ahead.
That said though, behind TV doors we are already planning for v6.00 so we are here for the long run and want to fix this for our own enjoyment as much as the community. Just for those that don't know, I am a keen offline player do I am working hard to promote this issue as a priority fix.
Doing what we can, as we can for the benefit of us all.
