Awesome, XB360 digital copy is also on sale right now as part of the Ultimate Games Sale:
https://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Produ...cid=majornelson

I have the physical GOTY edition but might pick up the digital version for $8 just so I dont have to swap the DVD in.

I think it only requires one CD, with all backwards games it installs the digital copy and uses 1 CD for the CD check... if I remember correctly.

Thing is, so far with all the backwards games, I install and play for 30 mins or so then move on... they never seem to have the emotional effect of gaming on me like they did before... IE; R6 Vegas 2 and Operation Flashpoint.

Yeah I picked up the digital version so I don't have to put in the DVD for the CD check, since we use the XB1 for watching DVD movies too.

I agree with you on most of the backwards compatible games, they often don't match how great our memory of them was, but I think RDR will be like Dark Souls 1 for me where the gameplay and story is so good that I ignore the jaggy graphics biggrin

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't a bunch of people who might finally make the move from XB360 to XB1 now that they won't have to give up RDR due to the upgrade.

That number is very inflated though. Considering the only sales available for it were on the x360 and ps3 which almost noone still uses or buys new games for (because there are no new games) those numbers could easily be 1 copy sold in the past 6 months inflated to 6400 copies sold. I really doubt the numbers are all that impressive which is why they released % increase statistics instead of sales figures.

Using percentages is great for things increasing in small increments but leads people astray when it comes to multiples.

6400% increase is 'only' 64 times the original amount plus the original amount.

So for example if they were selling 1000 each week/month they have now sold 65,000, if 2000 than 130,000 etc etc

When my wife made me (convinced me) to put away my 360 games due to the kids messing with the boxes I kept a few out. RDR was one, and it has actually been sitting next to my console for the past few months after the earlier release rumors.

Aah, RDR. Hope they release it for PS4 as well!

Played it for the first time in 5 years last weekend. I saw the date on my save game file and laughed. Controls came back pretty easy (for the most part) and I completed a couple of story missions that I didn't get to on my first go-round. I guess it's time to go back and finish out the campaign.

It runs smoother than when on 360 on my XB1, lots of good memories, and I had that chuckle at the save game date too!

Well worth buying it if you haven't got it, as is Rainbow Six 2.

Yeah I restarted my campaign since it had been a few years and it really holds up well, before I knew it a few hours passed and I didn't want to stop playing.
