This can create serious stress between an RC Modeller and his "better half", I guess:
a beautifully modelled engine for more than 1200,- Euro!

I'm holding out for a Rotary Engine.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

You can google for the rotary engines to see videos... they do sound sweet.

Follow this link for a few picture`s I took a couple of years ago.

Flying RC aircraft is my main passion. I also like to take picture`s of them when not flying.

I'm for mounting one of those bolted to my flight table at eye level and in fro t of my monitor. The wind and castrol blowback would add a whole new level to the meaning "immersion"! Not to mention the level of barminess!!

Amazing! I thought I was only kidding. So...there is a rotary for models?

Well it is a scratch built engine and plane.
In the video he mentions three (3) years to make the engine and two (2) years to make the plane.

From Google search - looks like the rotary is a one of a kind.

Well maybe two of a kind.

The radials are being manufactured.

Stache thanks for posting the vid. It is an amazing engine and the aircraft flight characteristics look very good as well.

The radial is interesting enough - could you imagine a Thunderbolt, Corsair, Fw-190 or <ulp> a B-17 or B-29 wih those beauties?

But a hand-built, one-of-a-kind rotary is completely over the top. I say we contact this fellow and inform him that he has been unanimously (if anonymously) been inducted as an honorary member of the BWOC!

Box: Win7 Pro 64 bit / I72600K @4.1 GHz / EVGA GTX1080Ti/ 16GB RAM / Corsair 240 GB SSD / WD 600 GB Velociraptor / 1050W Power
FS Stuff: Saitek X52 Pro Stick/Throttle & Combat Rudder Pedals, TrackIR 5
Sims: FSX Gold, REX 2.0 OD, UTX-NA, FSGenesis 10m mesh/ CFS3 ETO 1.40/Wings Over Flanders Fields BH&H2 (more gorgeous than ever!)
Proud BOC inductee 4/30/12!
