Rainy weather in 1916. Only got one flight out with my newest short lived pilot Ingvar Ingersleben.

Decided to switch fronts to Marine KEK in order to get to a squadron with all EIIIs...got tired of being hung out to dry by my EIV buddies!

Ingvar had a good first mission leading the flight against three N10s (guess the N11 hasn't gotten up north yet danke Gott). Ingvar got an N10 and was jumped by another, but chased him off. His flight was not so lucky; all three shot down which surprised me. Going to be a long war.





Aaron also only got a single mission, a balloon bust. We were near an airfield and two EIIIs bounced them. Aaron got one.




Charlie continues to be the busiest of the three in 1918. Some good tough fights against DR1s, a lot of bullet holes from two seaters and fell afoul of a beautiful front side attack by two DVas, which didn't work out so well for one of them.

And just a few from my Aero campaign. I don't necessarily love the way the N28 flies, but it sure is pretty!

No combat here. Just checking out the incredible view. Look at the subtle shading and use of hues to convey distance. Thanks Winder. It's incredible!

I thought this was a pretty neat shot. My observer is an incredibly lucky fellow. He managed to score this kill with only 25 rounds.

Ingvar can't seem to get out of EIIIs. Luckily it's good to have Halbs around...



Billy didn't survive an over G in his N28. Cal, seems to be fairing better, although those DVIIs are going to be some trouble.


The DVas seem to be no big problem.






Even the DR.1s are manageable.





But this didn't end well either time I tried it.





I'm still amazed that I survived this.





The last couple I thought were very cool...the first time that I had gotten to see this up close. Pretty creepy. Nicely done OBD!





Salute to those brave virtual airmen!

Today, the worst news first. Sqdn Cdr Charles Cooper is dead.

After seventy hours of flying, Charles leads his squadron against a gaggle of D.VIIs.





After many quick passes, Charlie bounces a single D.VII trying to exit the fight and collides with the Hun.



He died instantly. Charles Cooper joins the other brave airmen heading west today.

In 1916, Ingvar struggles on in the EIII bagging his first Sopwith and joining in on bagging a Fee.

Adam has moved up to the N16 and is slowly upping his score.

Have the WOFF graphics gone up a notch in the last patch or two?
Lately life has been quite busy and I fired up WOFF for the first time in...yes...about a month! Quite shocking for me I know as a WOFF slappy.

Anyway I was quite taken aback by how gorgeous the graphics were - I don't remember them looking quite so crisp and clear - not only the aircraft but certainly the terrain also.

Sneak improvement or did absence make the heart grow fonder?

It does look moodier doesn't it? The overcast really brings out the contrast.
