Do not mind, Barthek. Developers are evidently too jealous and feel really endangered and embarassed by your effort compared to their never ending Beta. That become common destiny of skilled modders nowadays .

it there an EULA that forbids one to receive donations ? Barthek is not selling anything and any donations he receives are given freely to him.

Was Starway able to do it because he gave ED a piece of his donations?

Regardless, it's a shame nodders that are improving their product get treated this way.

I hope this is someone overreacting and they reconsider this, it takes a lot of effort to make mods and anyone can receive some support for it, simply by registering with PATREON

it is perfectly legal to support artists , Barthek is an artist, we are supporting Barthek, so that he can continue to provide free of charge mods for our community.

People do the same by donating to LockOnFiles, they provide us with funds so as to enable us to support our community modders.

From what I understand, Starway is a "3rd Party Developer" and was asked (or contracted?) by ED to develop his updated Caucasus textures to begin with.

If you had a link to the Lock On Files download...that might be part of it. Any links to Tom's excellent skins are deleted immediately if they are posted if I remember correctly.

because someone confused having issues with me with boycotting a website where hundreds of modders upload their work.

unfortunately, this developer never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Seeing stuff like this makes me regret buying their products. I remember a time when I used to get excited when Eagle Dynamics released a new sim.

DCS is top notch; no reason to not get excited about their stuff. I guess the DCS community is a different (and separate) animal.

I have one of those. Maybe I deserved it, maybe I didn't. Barthek you do not deserve it. You have generously donated your time and talent towards improving the look and feel of a vary dated map and in doing so probably rekindled a few jaded pilots interest in DCS.
I cannot understand EDs policy towards the mod community. It's mind boggling, it really is. Shame on you ED and all those that are involved with the running of those forums. Shamefull.

I am a P3D-FSX skin maker that also happens to make from time to time skins for DCS, I can do the same as Barthek did, it is not because I make DCS skins that I cannot ask for people to help offset my costs as a skin maker.

it is important to stress this point - you are donating to the Author and that donation is in no way related to the mod, the mod is free for all to download as are any other mods hosted at LockOnFiles.com .
