Yep, world needs a badly done survival game that's taken 5 years to get nowhere...

I will too.
But harsh nature is not everything in DayZ.
Sometimes you witness also a heart warming family life between Daddy, Mommy and son Billy ...

I think they should fix the zombies and fundamental things and not keep adding extraneous stuff and feature bloat that brings more bugs.

They'll end up spending ages tweaking something like this.

I think the development team isn't being managed effectively at all or they would have had a completed game shipped a year ago.

At least you have a clue about a realistic timeframe.

I like the idea of animals in the game. Turn it into a zombie/hunting game. Harvest animals you kill for the meat, make clothes out of the hides. Have some bears that attack you too.

Theoretically, the idea is excellent. But there are differences between theory and practice.
I don't expect a challenging predator AI in the near future. But this could change when the game hits the gold status in (enter your own one digit number) years.

Just watched the two videos. If they can make realistic looking wolves why are the zombies so bad in DayZ?

Just remove the Zombi BS and all will be run nice.
