Interesting the effects.xml didn't change from WOFF 3 to UE. I have performed detailed comparison of effects.xml files from WOFF3 and WOFF UE and, imagine, I have found small changes of two smoke effects for train and flak. So I updated Tracers effects mod accordingly. Updated Download link of v1.1 in the first post. Disable and delete previous mod, then extract mod v1.1 to yourMODS folder and enable with JSGME. I apologize for this unconvenience and thanks to Duke for his doubts :-).

It should work without any additional settings. But, anyway, I updated the mod to the latest standard of WOFF UE v4.11 (incl. enhanced wings breaking sound, chimney smoke, etc.)- see the first post of this thread for download. Current version of mod is v1.2 i give it a try, thx a lot!

Very nice mod does anyone know which ammunitions have been used at which timeframes? wanna keep it as realistic as possible I was interested in knowing that too. In all the WW1 aviation books I've read, I don't recall reading about tracer or smoke.[] Probably just didn't register. R

The "realistic" in the name of the mod is not because of historical realism but how the tracer rounds and smoke "would" appear if used. For historical realism disable this mod and uncheck incendiary rounds in the mission briefing window. Hi JJJ65, Thx for your reply. I've subsequently searched this forum and others for threads about tracer and incendiary rounds, and the consensus seems to be that both sides were using some sort of tracer and/or incendiary round from 1917 onwards: http://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/4240365/Searchpage/3/Main/405261/Words/tracer/Search/true/Re:_Tracers#Post4240365 http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27302http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8005&highlight=Tracershttp://acepilots.com/wwi/us_rickenbacker.html"As the German tried to escape eastward, Rickenbacker opened his throttle and was on him. At 150 yards he pressed the triggers. The tracer bullets cut a streak of living fire into the Pfalz's tail. Raising the nose of his aeroplane slightly the fiery streak gradually settled into the pilot's seat." The tracer rounds at this time were phosgen and appeared as smoke rather than colour apparently. Seems to be a source of some debate, however, and I haven't come across anything definitive, certainly nothing photographic. R

In this regard is it possible to make tracer smoke darker, longer and more persistent? Yes, definitely, but it is out of my scope. I am only programmer/coder. Maybe that is question addressed to our graphics/effects modders. e.g. 4L0M?

Is this Mod compatible with the current WoFF PE?
Thanks. No, it is not. Do you know of any tracer mods compatible WoFF PE? Thanks.
