Loremaster Andriel at Sarn Ford, not far from the Shire.

The uncommon and fateful trio of the kingdoms of man, elf and dwarf make their way through the
Barrow-downs. This place has a colorful history yet it now grows dark in these troubled times.

Once a revered resting place for warriors and a time long dead, the downs have come
alive with the rising darkness from Mordor. Barrow-wights, evil spirits inhabiting the
remains of those entombed make the passing through the downs a living nightmare.

Eradan, a Dunadan or Ranger of the North keeps watchful eye.

While passing through, our heroes attempted to rescue two rangers previously sent
into the Barrow-downs on a mission. One survived however the other was taken by a
powerful wight spirit and made its puppet. Devastated at this poor man's fate, the heroes
along with the ranger's friend destroy the wright, knowing that this was but the unfortunate
ranger's shell and no more. He will be given a Ranger's burial.

From Bree and the relative comfort of the Dancing Pony, to the far more treacherous Fornost ruins
and the fearful Barrow-downs, our company of three finally make it Imladris for a much needed and
well deserved respite from their exploits. More commonly known as Rivendell, the refuge built
by the great elven Lord Elrond is truly a sight to behold. As grande as the stories are, nothing can
substitute actually being there, breathing in its sweet air. Our friends see many familiar faces and some
new one's as well.

Well rested and re-supplied, our brave trio go forth by Gandalf's instruction to scout the lands
around Rivendell in the Ettenmoors to search and confront and signs of trouble. Though they be
small in number, our servants of Middle-Earth must do their best to support the Fellowship of the Ring.

Farin, dwarf Champion of Erebor unleashes a fearsome warcry. Who knew such a display could echo forth
from such a small stature. Farin was a young man during the Battle of the Five Armies. His combat
experience goes way back.

After a nasty skirmish with a large Orc party and troll, Andriel, Eradan and Farin
finally best the horrendous creature. When a fight can last minutes yet seem to take hours,
a person weary from being pushed to their limits and beyond quickly and willingly believes the struggle
is over and that because they can do no more, that the evil they face too must obey this sentiment. Just as they begin to
rest, ANOTHER troll appears. The spent crew feels death's hand more clearly now than before and just when they think
they've failed the Fellowship, a rush of air and a fierce cry rings out!

Wha...?

Behold, Beleram! Servant of the greatest of all eagles Gwaihir comes to the parties aide, swiftly
attacking the last troll, clutching it with his powerful talons and throwing the troll over a cliff.
Our heroes rescued this bird back at Fornost and now they reunite in a common cause.
