From Coretex's Facebook Hello All Coretex Designs Supporters!
I wanted to clear something up because we are receiving messages, and posts asking if the project will be finished.
At this specific time the Coretex Designs team is no longer together, and the F/A-18E Super Hornet module has stopped development. Eagle Dynamics has retracted our 3rd party license, and our support due to a conflict of interest with their F/A-18C module.
Thank you for all the support, and I will update everyone if this changes.

It's looking great! I agree, it had nothing to do with ED. I would rather purchase ED'S F-18 anyway!

Yep, the whole Coretex business looked pretty much done for when the lead developer said he wouldn't be able to spend much more time on it due to his full-time job more than a year ago.
Only too fitting that they're now trying to somehow shift the blame towards ED.

To Clarify, that ending statement about F/A-18C being a reason is 100% inaccurate: They Never had a License Agreement w/ Eagle Dynamics.

The ones that should really make a superbug for dcs are VRS. But then I guess their Tacpack would take hit in sales... Search the VRS forums and you will find that they are not interested.

There's .0001 % chance of that happening anytime within the next millennium, VRS have made their position on DCS Clear. That Plus: DCS: VRS SuperBug Complete w/ Weapons = $60/59.99 ish per sale, FSX: VRS SuperBug (44.95) + TacPack For Weapons (39.95) = $ 84.90 Separate ($79.95 if You Buy Bundle) P3D: VRS SuperBug (59.95) + TacPack For Weapons (49.95) = $109.90 Separate ($99.95 if You Buy Bundle) FSX and P3D Code Bases share commonality, so most of their resources transfer between one or the other, w/ DCS, Everything is Different, they'd have to re-do: -Convert Model materials, animations, format, damage model meshes etc, -Systems, All of them, from scratch -Flight Model, All of it, from scratch -Damage Model, All of it, from scratch

I'd not discount that as a significant development cost already checked off. Still A LOT of work to do though. And yeah, they really aren't down with the way the wind blows in EDlandia...

And not sure why Varmit's product brought up here. If you want a great F/A-18 sim now you go VRS, if you want DCS version you're going to wait. Pretty simple.

However, the tacpack and the superbug are pretty well supported as they're their only products, I do believe an F-18F is in development? though. Can't really say that about a lot of DCS modules. I don't believe the workload is what put VRS off of porting over to DCS, it was the percentage of sales and money up front required by ED. I do believe the reason we don't see a lot more third party devs is because of that very same reason. I'd also like to say we have some third party devs that really shouldn't have that title, their work rate is abysmal. Their products should be pulled from the market place and their "3rd party" status revoked.
DCS Kickstarter Wags July 2014 "In this July 2014 update, the primary news is in regards to the restructured backer rewards. After a careful review of the older system under RRG, we found it financially unattainable." Wags October 2017 "the investment vs. generated revenue has been excellent for the World War II aircraft. In fact, the P-51D Mustang has twice the cost effectiveness of the A-10C Warthog."

It's always someone else's fault. That's the modern world. No responsibility for your own choices, decisions, or actions.
I don't know or care who's behind the reason they won't be releasing an E. You can bet there are lies being told about it, though.

^Yup, another reason I ditched FSX after dropping over 2 grand on it in the first year it was out. Sold it all off at a loss just to get it off my harddrive and its strangle hold on my VISA card.
I did buy the steam version for 5 bucks, but havent gotten the balls to launch it, I fear if I do i'll get sucked back into the trap.
If I wanna fly a super bug, I'll go on base and book simulator time.

That's a thing? the princely sum of $7.95 - and if you don't want to pay, you don't. FSX is really something of the past - I always advise to move on to P3D which is much better.
