Got Amazon Prime a few weeks back and I have been binge watching the original Mission Impossible TV series.
I still like it a lot since the episodes are "new" again since I haven't seen any of them in such a long time but watching the series I notice myself thinking about how outdated some things are in it. Actual key door locks on a hotel room door and not a security camera in sight are two that jumped out at me instantly.

That happened to me with a much more recent show: The X-Files. There are some plots from the early seasons of the show that would have completely fallen apart if Mulder or Scully would have had a cellphone or access to the internet. biggrin

Yeah, the lack of cellphone's are definitely one of those things that I notice in any old TV series or movie.

X-Men Apocalypse.

Wherein Red Dwarf's Kryten goes on a rampage, recruiting other mutants and giving Professor Xavier his shiny new billiard ball look.

Fun movie smile

Operation Pacific. Good submarine movie. John Wayne. And Martin Milner, one of my favorite actors.

Milner was Pete Malloy in 'Adam 12'.

Martin had some good roles during his career. Adam 12 was a favorite of mine as a kid.

Didn't hear about this one until recently. It's essentially Blue Crush + Jaws + Castaway.

The OCD killer shark genre has been pretty poor since Jaws 2 but this is a decent foray into that genre.

Batman v Superman Director's Cut Ultimate Version...whatever.

Adds 30 minutes of previously deleted scenes. Gives a bit more context, but not enough there to make any difference.

If you liked theater release, you'll still like this, if not, it is still meh.

My theory of how they picked Luthor -

Producer: We should get that guy who played the main guy in Breaking Bad to play Luthor...what was the name of the character?

Secretary: Heisenberg?

Producer calls casting: Get me that Eisenberg guy to play Luthor in the movie...

Eisenberg is a good actor but I didn't care for the way Luthor was portrayed by the script. I didn't find the crazy Zuckerberg treatment to be very compelling.

Don't know if these were already mentioned. But I have found the Jim Gaffigan Show and Angie Tribeca are pretty funny TV shows. The American West on AMC is good, although they really don't give anything new to the stories. I have been watching the oldies TV station lately. Hogan's Hero's, Green Acres still make me laugh. As far as movies, I saw 'Used Cars' with Kurt Russel the other night. That is a classic movie.

Just got back from seeing "X-Men: Apocalypse". It was a pretty solid film which was no better or worse than the two previous films.

I saw Taxi Driver on the big screen Friday/Saturday (12 midnight show). Original 35mm print.

It's never a 'fun' movie but boy does the big screen give you a couple extra notches of creep factor. Could never make that film today.

30 more minutes? The movie was already way too long. The movie ran out of momentum prior to the
