You obviously left the WOFF Key Function Bindings program running - so obviously it's still doing its job configuring your joystick when you fly. Close it.

Even a reboot would have fixed it - step 1 PC troubleshooting .

But then I guess, a Sidewinder would swirl around a WW1 plane like an electron around the atom's core,
until it's burnt out - without ever hitting it. We are simply too slow.
The infrared scanner (if it could think) would perhaps say:
"Target locked! Not very hot, must improvise! Approa... damn, missed it!
New approach! This time I will... damn, is that thing drifting sideways?!
Must be Russians...!"

That would certainly be the case in my cockpit. I'd end up throwing it all out of the window.
