As the title says I'm finally upgrading the monitor. About two months back I upgraded the rig to a Nvidia GTX 980 and want to get a new Gsync monitor, since I've heard so much about it.

For the guys running 4k, and if anyone has both the 980 and a 4k, what are your thoughts, comments, suggestions? How are you fps in game, i.e. later 1917 and 1918 and at different altitudes?

Thanks

GTX 980 and a 4K monitor will not cut it (to many pixels for the GTX 980 to push). A GTX 980 and a 2560x1440 G-sync monitor will be fine with your CPU at altitude in 1917 and 1918 (70~100 FPS). A down low mission, (airfield or RR attack) may bring you below 60 FPS, but your G-sync monitor will compensate at that point.

CPU = i9 11900K
GPU = RTX 3080 Ti
Monitor = ASUS ROG Swift PG32UQX 2160p G-sync

Just noting, that is not a gsync monitor

I do like my Acer XB271hu (2K, 144Hz, 27", IPS, G-Sync) - it is pricey, but the cost has been falling.
In the first release's at the end of last year, there were some issues with the screens.
I've not noticed anything with mine.

Looks like there is a 24" version.

Stache, that's one of the monitors I was looking at. Glad to see there are no problems on your end.

I highly recommend the Acer XB270hu. I got one when they first came out and have been very pleased with it.

I currently have a GTX 980 running just fine on a Curved Screen Ultrawide (3440 x 1440) ASUS PG348Q at 100 Hz. It was not an inexpensive G-Sync solution, but it really is a thing of beauty to behold!
