Flight testing is its own reward (sometimes):

I know I'm cross-posting the same thing between sub-forums, but I'm pretty pleased that I'm climbing the learning curve.

Like most French women, she can be difficult to get into bed the air, but once she's there it's nothing but fun. Of course getting her out of bed the air and her feet on the floor can be kind of tough, too.

Haven't been here for quite a while. Didn't even know, that the beauty is already flying.

Sat here with a raised fist and crying "YEAH!!!"

Oh man, awesome job!

Just great! I don't have the dedication to do something like that, so the next best thing is to watch someone else fulfill their dream.

Fantastic, that it a wonderful plane, you're a very lucky guy.

That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead?
Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick.
Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake.
No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Looks like the springs got you sorted on directional control during takeoff - awesome.

What's funny about that is when things went seriously sideways I wasn't the least bit scared - I'd seen that sight picture on takeoff about a zillion times before; I was more concerned about the landing.

I couldn't tell my observer that, though - I think he'd of thought I was nuts to say that it wasn't anything unusual.

Tell the Hun that! I'm actually in serious trouble, as there is a Fokker DVII being built 80 miles north in Huntsville and another already patrolling over Montgomery 60 miles south of me.

And I've got to protect the Birmingham salient with just my little Nieuport 11.

After next flight I'll be looking at mounting the gun.
