The wife enjoys the "game" Farmville 2. I try to "help" her out from time to time. Yes, that means I too have to have a "Farm". I HATE the "game". Recently my wife lost access to her Level 103 "Farm" She's bound and determined to get it back. To the point where I ended up re-formatting her computer. UGH Tried again. No joy. Now, she's PISSED! (read don't poke the bear) So what do I do? I went out and bought Farming Simulator 15. Now I'm compiling a Command File and .map for her "new" CH Products Yoke. Oh, and I too get to "farm"...

Meth. Get her hooked on meth and she'll forget all about her farm. Hence, she'll buy a game where you turn the garage into a METH LAB and blow up the neighborhood!...ho ho ho!...As he said "don't poke the Bear!"...

I don't think my wife would enjoy an actual farming simulation, as it would remind her too much of the hard labor she did as a kid on an actual farm!
However, she got wrapped up in the original Farmville on facebook, and it was fascinating to watch. First she used my account as an alt to gift stuff back and forth; then she got involved in Groups.
Facebook groups worked on this odd frenemy system of gifting various rare biological abominations invented weekly in a bizarre competition within the group. Officers were elected, attendance noted, and those deemed to be free riding the system shamed and sometimes banned. Worse yet, it was encouraged to belong to multiple groups which lead to mergers and schisms, factions and alliances.
My wife is naturally competitive and very used to being the best at everything, so the combination of collaboration and competition was like nectar to a bee.
Finally it got to resemble a second job for her, so she just quit the whole shebang.
Plus the Zynga support went to crap - stuff would disappear, including Farmville dollars (which were bought with real money) - and at first they were very responsive. As the whole thing became crazy popular and the scammers came out, support flagged and then became hostile to any claims that money wasn't showing up.
The opinions of this poster are largely based on facts and portray a possible version of the actual events. More dumb stuff at http://www.darts-page.comFrom Laser: "The forum is the place where combat (real time) flight simulator fans come to play turn based strategy combat."

When they release a horseback cattle cutting DLC, count me in.

Farming? What's that? Doesn't everything come directly from the supermarket? It does. I've been in the freezer section when that hand puts the new milk on the rack. It looked like a regular guy's hand, not a cow.

I enjoyed the tree cutting and moving hay bales more than I enjoyed the actual farm. Also the MP had really bad net code for moving around on foot. Made the game impossible to play with friends (which was why we bought the damn thing to begin with). Also, I agree that someone who likes farmville probably isnt going to like farm simulator. They are completely different game styles. Though you might buy her a copy of this. http://store.steampowered.com/app/413150/

Come on 531ghost,its not that bad!?! Is that tractor a Massey-Ferguson?...Nothing tracts like it!...One of my family member was a rep. for them. He was selling Axial rotary combine harvesters to farmers association, they were red as hell (not the farmers)!...For me they were like threatening spaceships! Today, they have A/C, stereo sound system, TV, GPS, fridges inside the cockpit. They came a long way!...But they are still red!

I'm still waiting for the "Afghan Poppy Seed Farmer" game. At least there you'd get to dodge the sky beasts when the local insurgent sets up camp nearby.

After that, I took the tractor down the road and T-Boned a white van at an intersection (on purpose). You should have made a video of that and posted it on LiveLeak.

Believe it or not, there's actually a learning curve to get through. I think it is quite in depth. I know there are a lot of mods for it. You can also buy specific controllers for it http://saitek.com/uk/prod/farmsim.htmlI was hoping it would be one of those bizarrely compelling games like Euro Truck Sim but with a bit more depth and variation. I just haven't had time to get into it on top of playing ED.

First, no that's not a MF it's an Austrian Lindner. I don't think they're any relation, as far as I can tell, just following the style of the time. But I remembered this post when I saw this today: http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-36479610
