Dear fellow simmers,
I would like to represent you some very special equipment.
I got to know a guy who has worked some 20 years in a well-known vintage aircraft workshop as restaurateur. You have possibly seen plenty warbirds at air shows and museums around the world which included parts made by him.
Now he decided to start a small side business using his expertise and make some awesome Luftwaffe control parts for collectors, restaurateurs and for us, simmers at a reasonable price. I became totally crazy when I saw his products, and I am quite sure that you will be impressed as well.
All these equipment are museum quality replicas created according to original blueprints and parts using similar or identical materials. These are the real things which can be mounted into actual aircraft at will.
Here is his offer:
(I hope you don`t mind some pictures:) )
1. KG13 Knüppelgriff, the well-known control grip of all the major Luftwaffe fighters (Bf109, Bf110, Fw190, ME262, Ju87 etc...) - Aluminium grip with on-moulded knurl patterned plastic coating on the gripping surface, just like the original.
- Steel trigger with flip-up function
- Steel side button clamp
- Aluminium junction box, underneath Bakelite terminal plate with brass wire connectors
- Machined, anodized aluminium press button assemblies, travel and spring force according to the originals. Integrated micro switches on demand
It is straight forward connection to any general control cards like leo bodnar`s. Adapting it to TM warthog or to VKB base should be quite easy as well with an additional Shift Register PCB and the right fittings.
Price: 600EUR + shipping
2. Bf109F,G,K Rudder Pedal AssemblyRudder assembly with complete mechanism, pedals, brake cylinder assemblies and platform for the motor cannon.
- Aluminium and steel construction acc. to original plans.
- Ball bearings in the pivoting points
- Brake cylinders acc. to original specifications.
It would require some work to make it simulator friendly, but it is entirely possible.
Think about it. Some expansion springs attached to the wire connectors, a hall sensor in the main pivot point and a load cell in each cylinders, and there you go.
Price: 1400EUR + shipping
He has complete control column assemblies for both the bf109 and the fw190, but I feel they are not really suitable for simulator usage.
If you are interested send me a message and I will assist you to get in touch with the Man!
Cheers
