Anybody catch the pilot episode on AMC for "Preacher"? Yet another badass show on AMC. Once again, since I'm not big into comic books I wasn't aware that this was one...but it's found a spot for a timer on my DVR.

AMC is probably my favorite channel. Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, Into The Badlands, Turn: Washington Spies, and now Preacher. One of these days I'll have to binge watch Breaking Bad and Hell On Wheels...lol.

Saw it, loved it! I enjoyed Badlands fort the most part, more the idea of it than the execution, but this was the strongest start of a show since I don't know when.
I didn't know it was a comic until after watching it. Nicely weird, well cast and interesting characters. Really looking forward to where this goes.

It was kind of ho hum until Cassidy found the bible on their plane then all hell broke loose. I had no idea what they show was about till then. Poor cow.

War movies are different. But just watching blood letting for bloods sake, too much IRL.
Never watched the 'Chain Saw' or any 'torture' movies.....or the vampire stuff.
Not one.

Not many cop shows either.

I like realistic westerns.

And I've not missed many war movies.
Can't figure it out.
I guess I just admire the real warriors.
The guys you work with.

Especially the WWII aircraft movies.

Totally understood Murphy. I don't watch the Saw series, or other shows that are nothing but gore. My wife's not big into gore stuff either, but she's hooked on the Walking Dead now that I always watch it anyway, and she's really digging Preacher now too. This show is more of a dark supernatural comedy. So far the vampire sidekick isn't a mean vampire...he seems to just want to be liked...lol. He's bad and gory when it comes to people trying to kill him though. He's also one of my favorite characters.
