Great job on the Airco DH.4, OBD! salute

I feel like I get to fly the "big boy" British 2-seater now!

Its so iconic.

Its got so much history behind it.

Its sooo fast...

Catch me if you can! burnout

Well said Bucksnort. I'm enjoying my 50th Aero campaign. It's becoming one of my favorites to fly.

It is super cool! (and fast!) The first time I flew it, it took three passes for me to get the landing approach right so that I didn't use up the runway too early.

WOFF so completely ROCKS! band

You like fast and powerful two-seaters?

Then you'd love the Breguet 14 and Salmson 2A! biggrin

Why... YES I WOULD.... and I'd have to wear a drool bucket if I could jump into a Halberstadt CL.II.

.

For those interested I have made a version of my Mark 1-W bombsight for the DH.4. If you would like to give it a try here is the link to download the zip file:

Mark 1-W sight for WOFF DH.4

After you have it downloaded unzip it and place the folder into your 'Mods' folder, the path to which should look something like this, C:OBDSoftware\WOFF\Mods. Once you have done that you should see it on the list of available mods in your JSGME installer. The sight is currently calibrated for a speed of 125 km/h and is quite accurate throughout the usual WWI level-flight bombing altitudes.

As I mentioned to J5_Lehmann and Casperpit when I sent each of them the sight, the visual quality is not quite as nice as I'd like, mainly because the DH.4 is using an F11 template that is half the size of the other B/R planes. Not sure why that is but ah well, c'est la guerre.

Happy bombing!
