I had a blast with Aerofly FS1 both on PC and iOS. Flying through the Alps in a F18 is awesome in this sim, even if the systems modeling is non existent.
Who are we? We find that we live on an insignificant planet of a humdrum star lost in a galaxy tucked away in some forgotten corner of a universe in which there are far more galaxies than people. Carl Sagan
Simulator is a crap - just Google earth viewed from non functional cockpit. I shall never, never repeat my mistake and buy such fake simulator.
If you are after fully clickable cockpits, fair enough, but the physics in Aerofly are second to none. Try doing a snap roll in FSX... There's a lot more to a good simulator than just cockpits.
Initial impressions are mixed. The load times are good, as are the frame rates. Some of the photo scenery seems high quality, but there is a distinct lack of autogen buildings around. I'll give it a good try over the weekend. The cockpit models do seem well built and flight controls were easy to configure and feel smooth.
Sorry guys, viewing these photos refreshes my bad memories from FS1. It is evident Aerofly FS2 focuses on American market now - P-38 + California Google photo scenery. Why they disable Google photo icons? Just remember, I have warned you . After 2 - 3 flights it become REALLY BOOOOORING.
Well, it seems fully in the footsteps of it´s father...
so it has great base scenery but only some 3d-object populated areas that have no moving stuff, AI-traffic or ATC, an overall good flightfeel but the same lack of full on detailed stall and spin behaviour. That is basically what Aerosoft FS1 was, too. Weatherwise it does not have changed too much, too.
But the great thing about FS always was the physics interaction with all the added 3D objects, every little detail influences your plane and finding hilariously absurd places to land allways was the best thing about it. At least for me.
