Here's some additional info on the MkIV T-Rudders:

-Rudder MkIV improvements compared to the MkIII:

1. More comfortable heel pads allowing different feet positions.

2. New size adjustment system and modified T-Rudder "feet" profiles, less prone to dust, with new rubber pads providing an improved grip.

3. Reinforced centering mechanism (4 mm thickness) with dual ball bearings for an improved robustness.

4. Reinforced pedals axes frame.

5. Improved pedals locking system preventing loosening or rotating the cylindrical part.

6. External access to the tension mechanism allowing to release the cam for easier disassembly.

7. Reinforced and visible spring force attach point (normal and high tension force).

So what is going to be the defining difference between the Gunfighter and the Gladiator Pro?

It looks like the Gunfighter is going to be all metal but lacks the stick base axis and buttons. If that is the case I might consider the pro in lieu of the Gunfighter. But is there something else I am missing?

The Gunfighter is the replacement of the Mamba and is going to be the top-line of VKB sticks. It will also allow for customization down the line with swapable grips. You can mount the upcoming KG-12 grip (full metal WW2-style grip), as well as other, future VKB grips.

Also, you can remove the base plate and mount the Gunfighter into a home-cockpit.

Last, but not least, you can buy an extension for the Gunfighter as well...

As Stratojet deal only with USA and Canada (don't know Flightsimcontrols) people from "restoftheworld" can try buy from VKB Russia - is send from China.

Puggio,

Gunfighter is a joystick designed since very beginning for use with extension (VKB is 20 cm), so don't make sense put buttons in base.
But can be use as desktop joystick without extension as will be provide CAM and spring for both uses.

Their base is all in metal (Aluminium), but their standard grip is the same plastic grip of Gladiator.

Latter, if Gladiator reach the needed market success to finance the molds (cost like a medium car) for KG-12 metal grip, this will be available as option for Gunfighter.

Inside Gunfighter base is only the gimbal and sensors, no USB controller.

The USB controller is fit inside the "Black Box" (this orange box see there with T.Rudder Mk.IV), that can control other peripherals, so if you want buttons for Gunfighter buy this panel kit, hook in "Black Box" and fit in convenient place for your hands. smile

"Black Box" can manage too T.Rudder pedal, if the user want that all controllers be only one for Windows/Games.

Indeed, I do not have an interest in extensions or mountings. I was wondering if the Gunfighter might ship with the metal grip from the start. My main interest in them was the gimbal (of course) and the possibility of attaching either the warthog grip or the metal kg12.

But if the pro has the gimbal plus additional buttons on the base I just might order one. Looks like it would go good with a WT throttle.

You can use Warthog or Cobra M-5 grip in Gladiator PRO, with VKB addapter. Seems that PRO is what you want. smile

Only is not advisable use extension in this model, due the plastic case (can flex/deform) - but possible anyway.

The "Gladiator" (non PRO) for Asia, Europe and Latin American due market share agreements probable is this "Cobra V6":

Electronics simplified relative to VKB Gladiator, conventional (read low cost/quality) potentiometer in twist rudder axis...

Have my Gladiator Pro on pre-order. I also have a warthog, will there be more Warthog adapters available to work with the Gladiator Pro?

Thanks,

Kevin

Theoretically, as the Gladiator PRO mechanics is equals Mambas that can use Warthog, Cougar, Cobra M5, (I guess) F22PRO grips ... or, grips with Shifter Register PCB for manage their buttons/HAT.

But I see issue, this models use 5 wires to interface the Shifter Register PCB with USB controller.

For NJoy32 used in Gladiator VKB develop a new interface (digital?) that use only 3 wires - what allow save some 0,00x$ in production costs, as manufacturer bean counts like.

So, if I am reading this right, we will NOT be able to use the Warthog grip with the Gladiator pro?

Not really, just a doubt.
Await VKB instructions to see, for Mamba Vintage, that use the same grip of Gladiator, is possible and
Warthog adapter come with 5 wire connector:

http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f...11536d1e#p21543

Stratojets 'announcements' stat that will be possible use:

Quote:

Gladiator Pro – This model Includes all the style and functionality of the original Gladiator, but with a more advanced metal gimbal for extreme precision and unmatched feel. The Pro is designed for flyers that put in many flight hours and demand a high level of durability. This stick is designed to be used in conjunction with rudder pedals and has no twist grip. The grip on the Pro is removable and will accept other stick grips from other manufacturers or future VKB designs.

EDIT: wink

Yes, it's possible. We will prepare a special PCB for convert 5-wires protocol to 3-wires.

Hmmm. I'm iffy on the Gladiator as I fly WWI thru modern jets and don't relish swapping it out if I want to go from ROF to DCS, but these pedals look promising. My G940's pedals were always the weakest link, although they still work they're not that good.
