Hi guys im doing a Gotha night bombing campaign with Kasta 2.
i had a mission on the 15/09/1917 flying from Oostakker in Belgium..it was a 21.00hrs start and i got back to the airfield at 01.30

There were no lights (lit drums) at all during take off or landing..landing in particular was extremely difficult (had to use autopilot) is this normal for a nightime Gotha airfield? did the Gotha squadrons really land in pitch darkness?

Thanks for any and all replies gents..im loving WOFF 3 this Gotha campaign is brilliant cheers

I haven't experienced any of the new night lighting at the airfields. Tried all seasons, times, etc. and haven't seen anything.

I got fired as the door man at a sperm bank.
Apparently it's in poor taste to tell leaving customers "Thanks for coming."

I am wondering if it is a select few that are lit,il test more later I'm just a bit surprised that the Gotha airfields arnt lit up.
Really brilliant campaign the Gotha night one is,I try to keep autopilot off but I had no choice when landing as it's pitch black out there biggrin

I have to say that I'm also yet to see any lights on airfields.
Although I didn't have much time and only tried QC missions with a British pilot.

I have only seen it on other airfields using "J" method, but never my own airfield.

Yes, I can confirm search lights at night, burning barrels by landing strips, lamps and headlights on trucks, etc.

Hi pal..yep I can confirm 3 of the 4 ..but as others have said we can't seem to see them at the airfield (Fuel barrels)that's why I asked if all airfields had them?

The Gotha campaign there was absolutely definitely no lights at the field either at takeoff 21.00hrs or when I returned at 01.30 hrs..it lost a bit of Immersion in my case as I had to use autopilot to land which i never use..just to add no mods were running.

Thanks Hellshade cheers

Hi Banjoman thanks for your input.
Can you imagine my face at 01.30 in the morning when trying to land a Gotha in the pitch black darkness.
There was a few curse words biggrin

Turn up brightness, and contrast using graphic settings (if monitor is up full) and if you are in a bright room you may not see them they aren't "lighthouses" as such. can you try that

Try a QC at night at start over the field and look down.

Check this picture can you see the lights there? This is a Gotha over Thielt taken a few minutes ago.

@Hellshade..do you remember the airfield or fields where you've seen the drums mate.
Only so I can test and see if there's something not right with my WOFF setup or if it could be a possible AMD card issue cheers

Start over the field, and look. or if you start on the field they will be off but if you come back later they should be on.

Hi Pol just done a QC over Oostekker and got this picture..
street lights to the right and burning drums to the left of my picture
Could it be a possible issue with the campaign mode because these lights were definitely not there on my campaign mission last night?

many thanks for all your help cheers

OK but there are no lights at take off anyway, landing there should be.

Campaign works here, took off went past a nearby field, lights were on there.

You see no lights at any airfields at all in campaign?
