By the way, there is a steam subscription link on the download page. I used that so it automatically stays up to date, is that ok ? I did the same thing. It won't be a problem. I'm auto-subscribed to CBA as well and have never had issues.

Little sneak peek for ya! made a photo bucket, we have loads of picks let me know what you want to see. As for the map, Razorback, the great and ominous, is amazing. There are 2 full maps I have played on. Content is still being added to them. Razorback is doing one HELL of a job, so is the rest of the team for that matter! Photobucket Nam. edit: Sorry about the dark photos, just happened to be night time in there. Side note, We are just running the Beta, no CBA or anything else. No sound mods, The creators are putting enough goodies in it as it is. Very smooth

Currently in the Beta we have something like 9 fixed wing aircraft and 3 varient of period choppers(rough estimate), no Huey yet, No Huey? I'm perplexed enough about the no CBA thing that saghen mentioned above! (I'm starting to get suspicious )

Aha, Please don't be perplexed, I just looked and we are still using CBA, I was confused, The plan is to do away with it eventually, I am not well versed in everything technical, I am just a Beta tester, and thought you guys would appreciate an update. The Huey is being finished soon, It was getting a makeover. Judging by the previous work of the team member working on it, It will be worth the wait. We are looking forward to seeing the Huey too! It seems to be the most anticipated vehicle for everyone. Nice talking with you all, looking forward to a game with you guys in the future. Any questions or anything you know where to find us.
What exactly is there to be suspicious of? I'm not trying to get your credit card number. :P

I have news! Egg"the-config"Beast informs me the Unsung Beta is to be released in the next few days! officially! It is happening! You will find small bugs and glitches, It is an open Beta, so there is a web site for reporting bugs if you feel like contributing. Anyway, I thought I would let you guys know and prepare yourselves, I know Elite-Warriors will host it right away, and I think it would be really cool if you guys stopped by for a game, It will also give us all a chance to stress test the mod, mission, and the server! As a bonus we meet other arma players with similar interest. EW is a casual group, we don't mil-sim, from seeing a vid of yours I think we will play well together. Just a thought, see you in the jungle. (beware of the base attack)

What's the latest on this? Based on your prior posts, I would have expected this to have been released by now. Hope everything i ok. Eagerly awaiting this one!

It has been epic watching the how the team works. Eggbeast is my only connection to the rest of the team, other than the occasional Dev that comes on and plays in the test server. As far as I can tell Egg and the team usually keeps the promotion of mods down to a minimum until they are close, to avoid this horrible waiting period. The diference here is Razorback made these incredible maps, just because!!! wow what a guy, anyway, This sparked the rest of the team(most of them) from the original A2 Unsung 2.6 to hop aboard. When 2.6 was released Arma 3 was just getting into full swing. I remember back then if you wanted to annoy the #%&*$# out of the Unsung dev team was to ask if it would get made for Arma 3. Well here we are now, The hueys were implemented yesterday :D, I know everyone was looking forward to them. They look great, little tweaks on those, like fixing the spotlights and lighting on them. So, as we stand there are things not implemented in the upcoming Bravo release, like the bayonets, they are in, and look really neat, but they are nonfunctional. Period Houlitzers and 60mm mortars are in, they need a little tweaking as their spread is pretty high. 1 other issue that wilol be worked on, that I have noticed is the damage from fragmentation is too high. As it is the explosions are taken from Arma 3 stock, SO these explosives, and their frag were made with body armor in mind, we are not using any of that (yet) so the fragmentation damage/range needs to be tweaked. You will find that out when the enemy soldiers go full panick mode and throw every grenade they have at you including the AT parachute nades. 10 meter spread minimum. That is the only thing I see really effecting gameplay as of right now, so keep that in mind. There are playboys, and cigarettes, and all sorts of goodies, the calenders are back in too . AHa, the trap kits and mines will be tweaked for player and enemy. little things. Anyway, I look forward to getting in game with you guys. Once the mod is released we will be having a release party at the EW server (currently locked) for all to join! I am taking the time to write all these posts here because I was impressed with your youtube vids, and I think you truly appreciate this mod. As I do too! Huey, anyone? BTW, no F-4 Phantom yet Plenty of others though . Still "about a week out" till release. So..please keep in mind if it gets pushed back, it is for a good reason. That or the Devs. are perfectionist. Which is a good thing. Maybe I could come in for one of your 'Nam events before the release?

Bravo has been great.
One concern I've come across... The fires (campfires, barrels, etc.) seem to have a very large circle for causing pain/injury.

will take note, and ask the team about it. easy fix. I wanted to add a fire extinguisher of some kind too edit: i mentioned fire extinguisher idea before during testing and no one was interested, BUT fixing the fires should be easy enough.

What's our take on using Tanoa map/assets for Unsung? There are lots of good areas on Tanoa that should be okay to use without breaking immersion. I'm going to redo my eternally broken mission and want to use some of the new bunkers and stuff. Yes, some areas are well suited. I may try a Saturday mission like this, myself.
