Homemade baklava. Always make a lot, sometimes it tricks me into being the meal too.

I'm a Dessertarian. The "main course" is the socially mandated circuitous detour to the real thing.

Well-made panna cotta is an excellent choice, but it's easy to ruin it by putting too much gelatine into it. It's supposed to melt on the tongue, not to require a knife to cut it in slices that you chew. Most restaurants put too much gelatine into it, but it's admittedly a finicky thing to get right.

Definitely, in my house it's called my sweet stomach. No matter how full I am, there's always room in my sweet stomach for desert!

I have many weapons in my arsenal from non-baked cheesecake to creme brulee or chocolate torte or maybe even lemon meringue.

Man do I now need desert and it's only 10 a.m.

I love the big thick pretzel rods and a jar of nutella to immerse them in. There's two things I will eat until I am sick:

pretzel rods and nutella, and pistachio nuts. Especially pistachio nuts. One pound bag? Serving size: 1 .

Oh, had violet flavoured panna cotta yesterday, made by our oldest daughter and it was very nice, but it can't beat a well made crme brule

I'll be back in a while...

Now, Cranachan is also a favourite, but it is not really sweet with the raspberries and whisky in it

Thread seems empty to me without pics.

My favorite sweet tooth fix after a good meal is my wife's pumpkin sweet potato pie, with a good cup of coffee...

<I should not have spread the whipped cream before taking the pic.>

Runner up would be pecan pie, had a piece late Saturday night after a night of live Beatles music...

Not bad (not as good as Cracker Barrel's) but *nothing* beats homemade!

Hmmm. If there's ice cream around that's probably the go to thing especially if its chocolate or caramel. Maybe toast with peanut butter and a cold glass of chocolate milk.

Ever get a sweet tooth but then a salt tooth or visa versa? Then after it makes me wish I hadn't eaten all that crap. Its weird to go from ice cream to pickles and chips in the span of an hour lol.

When it comes to pies nothing beats pecan or pumpkin! I'm of the same mind as Mark.

When it comes to pies nothing beats a Limburgse Vlaai but after dinner I prefer some dairy - even yoghurt (not really sweet of course) or vla. But crme brule is good as well. Or Tiramisu. Baklava. Or all of those. Simultaneously.

My name is Legend and I am a Dessertarian. And I have a second stomach for dessert.

Lots of fancy sounding stuff here...but I just like pie...lol.

Minced meat, lemon meringue, apple, strawberry/rhubarb, pumpkin or sweet potato, peach, blue berry...

Warm peach or apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream also works very well. smile

Goo-Goo Clusters. I try to keep a secret stash of them for when I really want something sweet.

Warm vla met eierkoekje is fine

but where I like my custard best is in sherry trifle

Still, I won't go past a crme brule ... but a tiramisu might make my eye wander slightly biggrin

Talking of Vla... look what I found in the fridge biggrin

The story in my family is that I switched directly from breast milk to Vanillevla when I was almost 6 months old. And not warm (of course) - cold, straight from the fridge.
