Not sure if this is a bug on my system or expected behavior: In a campaign with historic aces included (with no Aces mods installed / active) should I be seeing the real life, current in-game date historic victory totals in a historic Ace's pilot log? All my historic Aces show as having 0 kills in all my campaigns, regardless of the date. This is a very clean install of 2.16 with all three add on packs, all updated. I am running a few mods, but disabling them didn't change things.

Thanks in advance for any info / help!

H

No one? Perhaps my question was too confusing. I'd be very grateful if someone could take a quick look at any ace's pilot log in their current campaign and see if that ace has any kills listed. Mine all have zero kills. If that number is not meant to change during a campaign (To mirror their r/l victory count at a given date in time) then I would have thought that N/A would be displayed, as it is for some of the other fields.

Thanks!

H

It all looks fine on my end - at least with J11 in March 1917 and 56 Squadron in April 1917.
I didn't break out my books but all aces appear to have the correct number of victories for the time period.

I think the answer is that some have correct amounts and some are always at zero. It seems like I read in the forum (a long time ago) that they never finished this task. I imagine that it's such a low priority that it's never been completed.

Yes, it's something like cleaning out the Augean Stables. The records for many aces are finished, while many are not. It's not a low priority, it's just that the task is monumental - I think it is something like 2500 historical figures. First, I have to get all the squadron datafiles finished before I can resume finishing up claims and ace bios.
Cheers,
shredward

We will remember them.

Thanks Shredward. I can only imagine! Well thanks for clearing this up for me, and best of luck with your continued sterling work on the databases. Awesome stuff!

Top Famous Aces are all complete now at least with bios and kill lists. That's all in all ca. 150 aces spread to all nations. Btw. Top Famous Aces does not necessarily mean Top 50 bla according kill lists. Of course the Top Famous Aces are mostly famous because of their number of victories. But this feature considers the Top Famous Aces in their appropriate period. So you have Lanoe Hawker in, because in his period he was top famous. Jean Navarre or various famous Eindecker pilots. Immelmann, Höhndorf, Parschau, Mulzer etc. Regarding victories they wouldn't have been near in that list, if it would only go by numbers of victories. Lot of 56ths aces are in, Black Flight is in. You get the point. Top Famous Aces. thumbsup

Fantastic! You guys make a great team! Are they complete just for WOFF 3 or will WOFF 2 be getting a patch at some point?
