I present Post Modern Jukebox.

If you're not familiar with the group, they take modern songs and spin them back to the sounds of the Roaring 20s, the Swinging 30s, the big band sounds of the 40s, through the Rockabilly 50s. Keep an open mind, not everything has to be metal...lol.

My favorite Radiohead song done by PMJ...

GNR...cool!

I listened to "Sweet Child O' Mine" (I'll catch the rest tomorrow after an ISP data reset) and my first impression was to quote Ms. Trainor and say, "That song is...NO!".

Or something more relatable for the older generations here...

<GONG>!

But then I got to thinking, if I'm walking the Quarter and I hear this coming out of bar, I'm going in for a listen. smile

LOL Mark!

That's why I said "Keep an open mind!"

The vintage era probably isn't for everyone, but if you just really dig music and style and aren't stuck in what's only current...open your mind and just listen and enjoy.

I might be more open to this style because I went in deep with the Ska, Swing, Rockabilly short lived era of the late 90s. Stray Cats, Reel Big Fish, Big Voodoo Daddy, etc rocked my world for a few years. Love the brass and reeds mixed with a good rockin' groove. smile

David, yeah they've got that soulful jazzy French Quarter sound going on. thumbsup

I need to get back to the "Sodom and Gomorrah on the Mississip". - The Simpsons

The rusty wire that holds the cork that keeps the anger in
Gives way and suddenly it’s day again
The sun is in the east
Even though the day is done
Two suns in the sunset, hmph
Could be the human race is run
