I came back to this one after well over a year of not flying. Loaded up a career, started flying the first mission, and 25 minutes into my patrol, the game locks up and the screen goes black. Alt-Tab, task manager, game not responding, force stop. Start it back up again, click the option for login online, instant blue screen.

Tried this same thing three more times, same results each time.

Can't find anything at the RoF forums- then again, it seems like most everybody there has packed up. Anybody else had similar problems? Is it strictly a Career mode thing, or is it game-wide? And yes, I updated to the most recent version before I launched.

i have had those issues, if seldomly, with my old computer. When i look at your PC specs (assuming you run RoF on that machine) it should be more than able to run RoF in full glory, but: there have been occasional issues with ATI and AMD graphic cards.
Just for testing, in the RoF start screen: lower your graphics settings a bit (uncheck post processing entirely for a check), and set your audio quality to a lower setting, then test again.

Sorry if you already tried this. RoF crashes on my rig maybe every 30ieth time or so, in Multiplayer, but never in single play. My PC is an older intel i5 3200 4x on an Asus mb, with a 2Gb Nvidia card, and also 16 Gb Ram. No problems with RoF fully maxed out (with post processing disabled), though i think about getting a better graphic card, maybe a 970 or something like that. But they are still expensive..
