I know most of you don't know me very well, but I have come to the forum to vent and use it as therapy. Last June I was diagnosed with colo rectal cancer. I went thru the chemo, the radiation, a few small surgeries and procedures, many scans, and a big surgery that had many complications. Well the story was that they got all of colo rectal cancer and I was good there. They did some PET, bone scans and a MRI, and now they are saying it has spread to my spine. They even show some spinal cord flattening in one spot. They want to start me some some heavy duty chemo (stronger than the first time) and some medicine that is supposed to make my spine stronger. I have been sick for over a year now, and I feel like I just got kicked in the nuts again. I know nothing about bone cancer, and am afraid to look for now. I don't even know what to do or think. I am stunned.

My thoughts and prayers.
Cancer is a tough thing. Lays even the strongest low. Be strong. Listen to the doctors and always get a second opinion.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

My prayers for a speedy recovery! I agree with getting a second opinion. Cover all your bases.

Ahhhhhhh crap man. So very sorry to hear this news.
Not much else I can say sadly, except all my best and do what's best for you and yours.
I still can't gain any weight and am eating pretty well, supposedly a bad sign..dunno.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet. I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

That sucks, man. I don't always post in these kinda threads because I'm afraid I'll say the wrong thing or something stupid, so I'll keep it short. We had that breast lump scare in Jan. which, had it turned out to be cancer would still have not compared to what you're going through. The fear was unlike any I've experienced to date, and it did help me to post about it here, even if our circumstances can't compare. Online venting among virtual friends and acquaintances helps get things off your chest, and you know everybody is pulling for ya. Now fight that #%&*$#! Cancer--->

at the very least, we SimHQ folks make a good caring support group. That is terrible news, but treatments improve daily. I will be pulling for the best treatment and a speedy recovery.

Hang in there, don't give up. My mom got to stage 3 colorectal cancer. AFter chemo and radiation, she went to surgery and they tried to get it all but the end result was that she is now on a colostomy. But, the cancer was removed and she has had no signs of its return. This was in 2006. So, it is possible to beat this! You can do it!

Wait... and you can't get disability (if I remember right)?
LB4LB. I'm sorry to hear of this new invasion into your body and can imagine how devastated you feel. (EDIT: Lotsa stuff that didn't matter except to say I understand how devastated you feel to be on your way to getting better only to be brought down again by poor health through my own experiences and I feel how devastated you are.)
Experiencing a reoccurring issue like you are doing can affect the best of moods and people's temerity.
I wish you well Lb4LB. I hope other opinions as well as the expertise of the physicians in your life can get this under control and have you back to living the life you're meant to.

Good luck, and get well again, LB4LB! Hope the chemo helps.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the universe is for it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Well sh-t.
I've made a note to the Lord to help you out of this.
Please remember that no matter how bad the doctors talk about your body, we still think you're sexy.
