I could never come up with any good German names, so even to this day, I rarely fly as a German! I hear Olham is a name spoken in whispers among the Allied pilots with both respect and fear... Not to mention the "Olham Express" which we have seen crossing the lines on the rails! What wonders must be in that train to be allowed through without question!!

My nickname Smosh has nothing to do with the comedy website, in fact my nickname predates that crowd by about 10 years. I was known as Smash after dropping a beer bottle in front loads of people on my first day at Uni. My brother however accidentally called me Smosh one time and it just stuck. The vast majority of people in my home city call me by my nickname. Some people don't even know my real name is Neil

hmmmmmm my nick..
as a Canadian living in Germany (30yrs now) I am always surprized by the first thing most North Americans think of when they talk about Germans... massive beer mugs and leather-pants.
I joined J99 for mmp play back in the old RB3D days, Which is why I chose "Lederhosen" as my German sounding nick .

@ Olham: Actually Komemiute is Israeli. Ah, okay - is Israeli the same as Hebrew, or is it a newer language? Olham, your vision of me is pretty accurate except it's the back porch. Haha - even qieter there, I suppose! I went with 'Louvert' as a tip of the hat to my now long-departed father...
So, "Louvert" is a first name? Which origin is it? I could never come up with any good German names, so even to this day, I rarely fly as a German! I hear Olham is a name spoken in whispers among the Allied pilots with both respect and fear... Not to mention the "Olham Express" which we have seen crossing the lines on the rails! What wonders must be in that train to be allowed through without question!! My theory is that it is full of Oompa-Loompas... Not sure if my name is whispered with fear on the Entente side, but it is often wispered wrong: they like to make an "Oldham" of me. Maybe to naturalise me? The "Olham Express" is only named after me, but is run by several other pilots from both sides, like RAF_Louvert and Robert_Wiggins; but that's classified info, and I mustn't give it away! The "Express" is a bit like a Christmas Train - it knows no limits or nationalities, and it sure brings something that you want! PS: Rick, I will think of some dashing German names plus nicknames, to attract you to the Albatros!

@ Olham: Dangit, yes- Hebrew. :P My bad. I found out the word means "Bayonnet" but it's the assassination dept. of the Mossad.
Found it interesting, but I've never lived up to the name, no matter what game I play :P "At least I have chicken." (Klingon proverb)

Do you look similar to him, Hasse, or is it just the many kills you have in common? No, I don't have blond hair and that movie star look. I just had to think of something, and Wind was such a remarkable person for Finnish military aviation that his name came to mind.

Interesting, komemiute! No, I don't have blond hair and that movie star look. Yeah, he had quite that dashing movie-fighter-pilot look - a bit like a Finnish Robert Redford, Edward J.Fox or Hardy Krüger. Is "Hans" a common Finnish first name?

You mean this is not Olham? Definitely not, Sir - the "German clichee guys" are from "the other end" of Germany (down south). The clichee guy for my area is rather this chap - a fisherman. (They often forget to take off their southwesters, when they get painted... )

Not that common. "Hannu" and "Hannes" are much more common, as is "Johannes".

I have a much newer truck Bucksnort, Roger that! We get the same here in Mississippi. My amigo Chet and I were in a bar in Maine a few years back and we had the house rolling. All we had to do was talk. Didn't matter what we said as long as we were talking. We had to warn them that we think a lot faster than we talk.
