My nickname Smosh has nothing to do with the comedy website, in fact my nickname predates that crowd by about 10 years.

I was known as Smash after dropping a beer bottle in front loads of people on my first day at Uni. My brother however accidentally called me Smosh one time and it just stuck. The vast majority of people in my home city call me by my nickname. Some people don't even know my real name is Neil smile

hmmmmmm my nick..

as a Canadian living in Germany (30yrs now) I am always surprized by the first thing most North Americans think of when they talk about Germans... massive beer mugs and leather-pants.

I joined J99 for mmp play back in the old RB3D days, Which is why I chose "Lederhosen" as my German sounding nick .

My wife gave it to me.

We got together after I ran into a rockslide while driving back home from Reno, NV. The rock I hit is now in my front yard.

I am a Paramedic and my unit designation at the time was Medic 109.

Not sure if my name is whispered with fear on the Entente side, but it is often wispered wrong:
they like to make an "Oldham" of me. Maybe to naturalise me?

The "Olham Express" is only named after me, but is run by several other pilots from both sides,
like RAF_Louvert and Robert_Wiggins; but that's classified info, and I mustn't give it away!
The "Express" is a bit like a Christmas Train - it knows no limits or nationalities,
and it sure brings something that you want!

PS: Rick, I will think of some dashing German names plus nicknames, to attract you to the Albatros!

@ Olham: Dangit, yes- Hebrew. :P My bad. I found out the word means "Bayonnet" but it's the assassination dept. of the Mossad.

Found it interesting, but I've never lived up to the name, no matter what game I play :P

No, I don't have blond hair and that movie star look. biggrin

I just had to think of something, and Wind was such a remarkable person for Finnish military aviation that his name came to mind.

Yeah, he had quite that dashing movie-fighter-pilot look - a bit like
a Finnish Robert Redford, Edward J.Fox or Hardy Krüger.

Is "Hans" a common Finnish first name?

I live on the border of Canada and New York, hence CaNy. When I was in the military my guys for some reason referred to me as "Doc Ace," which I'll assume is because I always had to save there butts in some form. 88 is my birth year and hockey jersey number.

Definitely not, Sir - the "German clichee guys" are from "the other end" of Germany (down south). cheers

For me, when you tell folks that you live in Tennessee, they immediately think:

And that is entirely incorrect. I have a much newer truck hahaha

Not that common. "Hannu" and "Hannes" are much more common, as is "Johannes".

Bucksnort, Roger that! We get the same here in Mississippi. My amigo Chet and I were in a bar in Maine a few years back and we had the house rolling. All we had to do was talk. Didn't matter what we said as long as we were talking. We had to warn them that we think a lot faster than we talk.
