Sorry guys but I am crowd sourcing this one. I STILL haven't bought a current generation console. I am finally making the leap, or will be soon enough. I've only owned XB and have enjoyed all the XB Live freebees I've been getting over the last year but it is time to move on. I don't care about any past titles or continued play of games I currently own. I DO want VR when it is releases. I do not want two consoles. Any game I want to play is currently available for both--except maybe Forza but that is no longer much of a draw for me. Leaning PS4. Thoughts?

VR on consoles will be meh, they dont have the resources to render it..

If you want VR for a console, then your only real option is a PS4. But IMO, you might want to wait about 2 months, there is rumors everywhere about Sony and Microsoft releasing more powerful systems. If it was me, and I was in the market, I'd wait that time for E3, you might be able to get something better, for not much more money than you are looking to spend now.

No You're hearing:

What makes me think that maybe it will work is that the free-for-all of CPUs, GPUs, OSs and displays that are a FEATURE of PC gaming is unheard of in consoles. There is no freedom in consoles which is why they get so little love from serious gamers. But that lack of freedom is allows Sony and MS to have complete control. Developers' hands are tied and they are forced to keep things slim in order to keep them playable. I just want to play games like No Man's Sky in VR. In videos, that particular game looks graphically from around 2005. Something like that may not be too terribly hard to run at 2 x 1080.

Well anyway thanks again for the advice. Until a few hours ago I had never heard of the PS 4.5 or XB 1.5 so you saved me some $.
