For over a year, I've been on the fence of buying rudder pedals, and a lot of you have said great things about doing so. I bought some a few weeks back, but for some reason didn't hook it up immediately. That changed yesterday.

What a difference it makes! I unbinded some of the default keys so there would be no interference, and flying is definitely a little more challenging, but the feeling of kicking hard rudder in a fight in unreal. Shame on me for waiting so long, but thanks to all of you who raved about immersion and realism, because now I feel like I'm really in control.

Now where do I put the high speed fan to blow the freezing cold air on my face when I go full throttle?

Dogfighting is what you do "after" you drop your bombs and blow something up!

CaNy_Ace88, what kind did you get and where did you get them? I've also been thinking about getting some.

Banjoman, they're Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals, I snagged them off Amazon

I use the same pedals and I like them, Cany! Congrats!

I was a bit afraid to damage them, so I also bought me Kung Fu slippers for flying.
They won't make a Bruce Lee of me, but they are the lightest weight I could throw on them.

Olham I should look into slippers myself. I wont wear shoes when using it, but I don't mind just wearing socks.

Too cold for that here - or maybe I'm a Sissy when it comes to cold feet. smile
I wouldn't want to fly without my Kung Fu slippers!

Looks like I'm in esteemed company with my pedals!

I'm sitting here in my slippers, had my feet on my own Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals (Slippers AND socks, I might add...). My brother-in-law wanted to try the old CFS3 ETO add-on again, but it wouldn't even start.

Makes me glad for the OBD team; I've never had a problem with installation, no digging around in batch files, switching path names all that stuff - looks like I'm into a clean re-install on that one.

But yeah, at my age my poor little foopies get cold! We were at 22°C (73°F) for Easter last week, and we had snow last night - it's frigid!

I had the same issue today, actually had to double up on socks to play! We have snow coming down pretty hard right now, just another typical April day in Western New York!

Oh, yeah, I guess you would! You're up there with Mudwasp. I'm suppose to head up to Oil City, PA, mid-week to trim balance a small gas turbine generator set. We're all pretty close here, I sure hope I can make the rendevous in Dayton in October. It'd be nice to have a meet-up. I mentioned one to Mudwasp last year, but I'm so flippin' ridiculously busy, it's a real pain.

If I get up Buffalo way, I'll have to give you guys a shout. We're doing more hydrogenerator work now, but I think the big OEMs have the American & Canadian side hydro plants pretty well locked up.
