You cannot buy a decent grill anymore. Full stop ..period.
I bought a B.D. Wait grill (made in the USA) in 1979 and had it for
23 years. It was never ever covered and was used 12 months of the year; rain (or driving snow) and shine. I would just fire it up and let the snow and ice melt off it and it was good to go. I replaced the burner ONCE and the secondary (upper) rack once. The pedestal mount finally corroded such that the grill body got wobbly and unsafe.
In the 14 years since, I have had three grills. A very expensive and useless Broil King, a cheap Wal-Mart grail, and am now using one that my son owned that he could not take to his current apartment. My brother in law has a Weber that he keeps covered and maintains like a Ferrari but it's starting to show its age after about 10 years.
I have looked at Webers and Napoleons and Vermont Castings grills and none of them come remotely close to that old B.D. Wait
