To be fair though, with the current "Animate and anthropomorphize all the things!" trend in Hollywood, this is pretty much the logical next step in the progression.

Any parents who doesn't check the rating of a movie or doesn't bother to find out the content of a movie and just go by their children saying: "it's a cartoon, it's animated", is an idiot especially if the movie in question is rated R.
Do they really think an R rated animated movie/cartoon is suitable for children?

When I went to go see "Deadpool" there were several elementary aged kids in the theatre with me. I was really shocked.

There were kids under 10 in the theater when I saw South Park, rated R, back in 1999. Those kids are like Taylor Swift's age now, but it makes you wonder about their parents.
