A pretty common sight around here; anywhere outside of urban areas, they're used to knock back the underbrush along the sides of the roads, particularly where corner visibility is compromised. More often on wheels rather than treads, except on the logging roads and such gravel forest access. Yup , same here, on the sides of highways for clearing back stuff like alders they also use a rig like a f#@king big weed whacker on the boom of a backhoe Yep, see them along the rail track clearing brush and trees that could catch fire from the rails. Nice close shave with that.
